Separating from Fear:
A Requirement for the 2nd Degree of Initiation
Lecture based Questions:
1. Draw or describe one of your helpers.
We have hundreds of individuals helping us and waiting to help us. Angels, loved ones (both living and dead), pets, nature spirits, teachers, and Masters. Each contacts us with symbols, colors, mind pictures, and sensations. Still yourself and put pen or pencil to the space below. Start doodling and see what you have drawn to remind you of one of these allies. Or, record something you remember of a spark of light or loving touch.
2. How many lifetimes does it take to transcend fear?
From the moment that a virgin spirit comes into incarnation for the first time until the Second Degree of Initiation, the individual learns about adrenaline energy and how it works in life. We usually take hundreds of lifetimes to pass into the First Degree of Initiation—the Spiritual Awakenment. After this, the disciple learns that they are not the same as their emotions. Eventually, fear ceases to be a motivator of the choices that we make. The exact number of lifetimes varies per individual.
3. Is all the fear that we experience self-generated?
No. Fear is contagious. We can catch the emotion from people in our area, or from entities that feed off of fear energy. Of course, the body naturally responds to certain circumstances with fear/adrenaline energy, and some of us entertain dread and worry neuroses. Many families have a fear entity that goes from person to person in the family to provide itself with fear nourishment. These can be converted to love energy fairly easily through command and intention.
4. Where does fear come from?
Fear is the lowest form of Adrenaline Energy, which is a universal energy designed to aid in the survival of the physical body. The imagined objects that we fear in the possible future cause the problems of anxiety and panic. These are bad, because they paralyze us and prevent success.
Where does it reside in the body?
The adrenal glands and the hypothalamus glands are the seats of fear in the physical body. When we retain fear and dread, they manifest as illness and injury in the kidneys, urinary tract, and thighs.
Why do we love to be frightened when we are adolescents?
From the ages of seven to fourteen, our physical bodies and astral bodies are becoming integrated. During those years, we enjoy exploring the boundaries of our full range of emotions as we strive to establish a sense of identity and personal strength.
5. Is feeling fear ever a good thing? What is bad about it?
It is always prudent to pay attention at the very early signs of fear in the body, for the body knows (long before the conscious mind knows) that something is out of harmony. Then the logical mind can act to solve the problem before it manifests.
When we baste ourselves in the emotion of fear without adding logic into the equation, then destructive energy comes into play. Quit stewing and get doing.
6. What should we do every day while we are still learning to transcend?
Remember that you are not your emotions. You are not even your Astral Body! These are only expressions of your real self. They are like your arms, legs, and body hair. They are not you but they are definitely parts of you, and you can have power over them, indeed you must have power over them to have a good quality of life. Our emotions are karmic, and the challenge of the game is to not allow them to control our choices. We cannot necessarily control our feelings, but we can control our behavior and how we react to these emotions. Affirmations are our strongest tools in this purpose.
7. Meditation Exercise: The Rainbow Fire
Starting at the Base Chakra and moving upward, we cleanse and regenerate each of the major chakras with a different color of the spectrum. The actual colors of the chakras vary with activity and emotion, but the colors that we use in this meditation are considered to be medicinal to the specific chakra. This is a handy meditation to use during an attack or crisis. All colors should be visualized as translucent, bright, and flecked with gold.

Fear is an invitation to misfortune. It is one of the most powerful attractive energies in the universe. It is contagious and easily spreads from one astral body to another. When a dark prince wishes to control others, fear is the most effortless way to influence them at the subconscious level. Fear of change, pain, or loss are the most compelling negative motivators. When guilt, fear, or intimidation are used in an effort to control you, take heed and step away; there is darkness.
You cannot imagine the depth of roiling energies dedicated to the propagation and promotion of fear. In the darkest regions of the nether Astral World dwell those entities whose existence depends on our constant generation of fear potency. Of course, they are only feeding on what they know. You can help these unfortunate beings by embracing them with your love and saying, “O taste and see how gracious the Lord is. Blessed is the man who trusteth in Him.” (Feed on the Light and see how sweet it is compared to the bitterness of negativity. Trust in the Divine Creator and experience wonderful things..)
Fear is the lowest form a universal energy called adrenaline energy. It exists as a balancing force of nature in the texture of Light and Dark. Adrenaline energy looks like lightening and large crystals in the aura. Fear makes these look dirty brown. It has an extremely attractive odor, similar to standing outside of a Burger King.
In its highest application, fear works as a stimulant that promotes survival in the physical body. The adrenal glands shoot hormones throughout the body in less than a second. The hands and feet receive a jolt of electrical current to help in battle defense. The legs and heart are fortified with blood to help the body run away. [Adrenaline can be an enlivening experience, and most of us become adrenaline junkies at some point in our many lifetimes.]
Notice that the brain is not enhanced. The cerebral cortex is actually curtailed in blood flow and the left side of the brain nearly shuts down. Most of the brain activity is confined to the glands in the central brain, the autonomic nervous system, and the brain stem. The only learned behavior that will shine through this hormonal haze is habitual, or, conditioned action. In other words, when fear takes its hold on the body, we lose what defines us as human. We become animals in survival mode, castrated of our reasoning.
The body must experience fear whenever it perceives danger. This is the way that we are designed and the way we are supposed to travel the physical life. However, fright makes bad choices. We accumulate negative karma and energy from acting out of fear. Violence is usually paired with terror. The attractive nature of apprehension manifests the very conditions that we dread. These negative energies lodge in the thighs, kidneys, and heart. In time, they manifest illness and injury. This cycle of fear and manifestation usually continues for many lifetimes after the First Degree of Initiation. The game here is to learn that we can separate ourselves from our emotions. The feeling may be the reality (C.G. Jung), but we are the orchestraters of our feelings. The moment comes when we become masters of our behavior and thought.
There are several tricks that we can use to bypass the limitations of fear. The first trick is conditioned behavior. The second trick is daily cleansing. The third trick is a belief system that transcends the appearances of physical situation. The fourth trick is to embrace the fearful situation and to survive it triumphantly. The fifth trick is to laugh at yourself.
1) Conditioned response is the key to daily success in matters both large and small. It requires diligence, forethought, and consistent work. Memorized affirmations and practice of a skill are useful examples. When the body feels anxiety or panic, it finds relief in acting out conditioned behaviors. When the conditioned behavior is unrelated to the situation, it is deemed a neurosis. When the conditioned behavior is helpful in the physical situation, it is a functional tool. Let us accumulate many functional tools.
“God leads the way to my success.”
“Hundreds of helpers are now working with me to manifest the solution.”
“God solves all my problems harmoniously and with perfect timing.”
2) Daily cleansing of the aura and body of all negativity, doubt, criticism, and fear creates a clean emotional palette for daily success. Even though we might generate new fear every day, negative energies do not have to accumulate in our bodies. Prayer or meditation accomplishes this. Cleansing the heart chakra with Pranic Psychotherapy is very helpful for temporary relief from phobias.
“May all negativity, doubt, criticism and fear now be cleansed from my being and my aura. May the energies be dissolved, dispersed and dissipated. May they return to primal essence and only be used for constructive purposes.”
3) Faith creates a lifeline to follow during an emotional blizzard. When hormones cloud our ability to think or perceive clearly, we can exercise our spiritual belief system. What we believe is what we receive, and when we believe that order, truth, and harmony always rule in our lives, then it is so. Faith must be cultivated. First we say it without believing it, then it becomes a habit or part of our identity. We become validated when what we say manifests. Ingrained in our subconscious minds it finally takes automatic action in our lives perpetually. As we continue to say it, we finally reach the stage of no doubt, and this is where miracles can occur. When we have perfect faith then no shock, attack, or misfortune can divert us from success.
4) Facing what you fear will shorten the list of phobias methodically and permanently. Often this occurs by necessity as life forces us to do things we would rather not do in order to survive or to learn a new skill. The cycles of life are actually designed to challenge us in this way. Nothing solves the fear of heights like climbing (carefully) high and often. This can be applied to all phobias and anxieties. Every fear we reduce to understanding creates personal power for us.
Then, there is Jung’s anecdote of the patient who feared Paris the city. After two years of psychotherapy, the patient felt brave enough to travel to the dreaded city, where he was struck by a car and killed. Jung appended that some fears may have a real foundation. We say that the victim may have chosen his karma to end life in Paris. He probably also died a traumatic death there during a previous lifetime, and that the violence of that death remained part of his Astral Body, which recreated the fear and echoed the circumstances of death. At any rate, the cycle eventually ends when the Astral Body becomes conscious of the continuation of his rhythmic existence. Paris may never become his favorite city, but he doesn’t need to fear it or die in it anymore. There are thousands of ways to die, and millions of cities to do it in. There is no bad way to die; it pays off karma and generates personal power.
“I embrace this situation for the sake of adventure and wisdom.”
“I am safe and I enjoy perfect timing.”
“God is my perfect guide through this safari.”
5) Humor drives out horror. There is no room in the body for both laughter and fear. They are the same energy reversed. So chuckle at your own weakness. Guffaw at your ghastly fate. Giggle at ghoulish notions. Snigger at what makes you worry. Chortle at the threatening enemy. Snicker at the family myth. Grin at the genetic guillotine. Laugh at the illusion of loss. There is no power greater than the Almighty Loving Parent. You are the favorite child and nothing befalls you uninvited.
