Flipping Over Weakness for Success:
Part 1—The Western Astrological Signs
Lecture based Questions:
1. Draw or describe a reminder or symbol of one of your helpers.
This is an exercise in both gratitude for all the help that you have given and also in remembering that you are never alone and have hundreds of helpers who are always wishing you well and waiting for you to ask for help. Choose one now—an angel, guide, teacher, Master, or loved one—and write down your impressions.
2. Why do we want to use our imperfections for our own benefit?
The Hierarchy uses them all the time in our spiritual training. They are the most consistent and predictable parts of a person’s character. You can bet money and win that, in any given situation, a person’s lower impulses will be expressed. What is dependable is usable. We can reverse a foible into a source of energy.
3. How can we do this?
Firstly, we must get to know the physical limitations of this incarnation with honesty. The intention is to know all the potential weapons in our arsenal for the challenge of strength and skill. If you are busy denying your shortcomings, you cannot use them to give yourself the advantage in this life.
Secondly, we must observe the triggers, buttons, and seasons of our frailty. When we find out how the machinery works, we can become skillful operators. When we can predict our own hormonal responses, then the countermeasure is also apparent. When we understand our handicaps, then we can accept the karmic cocktail, make a good drink of it, and learn to be productive within our boundaries.
Thirdly, as we practice this skill upon ourselves, our awareness in this regard expands. We become more able to acknowledge the challenges of others, to tolerate them, and to anticipate them. This gives us the advantage of consciousness in all relationships.
4. What are the faults of the western astrological signs?
Each body that we incarnate into is blessed with a large menu of weaknesses. In the journey to perfection, we meet the challenges of each astrological sign. These flaws are not us, but they are hormonal tendencies designed into the body for our education in problem-solving skills. By the time we reach the 5DI, we can entertain these vulnerabilities and still be beautifully functional, fabulously successful on all levels, vibrantly healthy, and fulfilled in all areas of life. 5. What can we do to flip over the energies of the flaws?
Each comes with its own answer. The trick is to find out what controls it hormonally and behaviorally. First address the physical causes. Seek physical balance through vitamins, amino acids, and nourishing foods rather than through herbs or medications. You must keep in mind that herbs are the natural form of drugs and should be used as such. The emotional or mental stress of trying to impose discipline is usually nonexistent after the physical need is relieved.
Aries—The adrenal glands must be nourished and balanced. L-Carnitine in generous doses will also be dramatically helpful. Liberal servings of dark green vegetables will provide much needed resins and prana. Milk, yams, squash, and melon help to balance the other hormones. Three short meditations or quiet readings every day realign the consciousness. Yoga, Tai Chi, or Qi Gong generate the balancing energies in the nervous system. Herbs for calming.
Taurus—The thyroid, liver, kidneys, adrenals, and pancreas must be nourished and balanced. Massage the front and back thighs every day. Acidic foods are beneficial to the nervous system. Passion fruit, citrus, brown rice, eggplant, okra, barley, and millet can be very helpful. Power-yoga, Pilates, ballet, skiing, rollerblading, skateboarding, ice skating, and surfing are good for creating balance in the lymph and blood. One moderate meditation and many affirmations during the day are helpful.
Gemini—The spleen must be nourished and balanced. Creatine should be used liberally. Hot tea of any type should be sipped throughout the day. Parsley, spinach, squash, berries, apples, grapes, cheese, yogurt, and artichokes will make the body feel calm and focused. Singing, musical instruments, puzzles, chess, bridge, cycling, running, body-building, martial arts, and needle work are balancing activities. A mini meditation (one minute long or less) every hour is great.
Cancer—The liver, spleen, and adrenals must be nourished and balanced. Barley, squash, pears, persimmons, berries, cherries, green tomatoes, soup, rye crackers, string beans, and kale are rewarding to the body. Walking, hiking, swimming, hangliding, acrobatics, new age music, drumming, trampoline, and scuba diving create harmony in the body. Yoga sun salutation every day is the meditation.
Leo—The digestive system should be cleansed every few months. The adrenals, liver, and pancreas should be nourished and balanced. Cruciferous vegetables should be abundant every day. Carrots, apples, peas, soybeans, black-eyed peas, lentils, grapes, and elderberries are especially helpful. The palms and soles should be rubbed a few times a week. Catnaps in the late morning, noon, and early afternoon are advised. Avoid acidic food. Chanting such as OM is a good meditation. Dancing of any type, knitting, tatting, reading, weight training, and Pilates is balancing to the body.
Virgo—The thyroid, pituitary, and liver should be nourished and balanced. Some type of digestive cleansing once a year or so is also good. Any fruit, taro, rutabagas and turnips, parsnips, cabbage, melons, and coconut are good for the hormone balance. Hatha Yoga, mudra meditations, mime, and folk dance are great for making the body do right. Short morning, noon, and evening meditations are beneficial.
Libra—The pancreas, adrenals, kidneys, and liver must be nourished and balanced. Creatine can be used liberally every day. L-Lysine and L-Carnitine also add a big boost to the body. Berries, endive, dark green vegetables, eggs, soup, cabbage, celery, and radishes are great for building up the body. Going to bed early will show a big difference. A ten minute meditation every day in the same location generates balance for the body. Cardiovascular workouts are good.
Scorpio—The spleen, kidneys, lungs, and pituitary must be nourished and balanced. Creatine is daily in generous amounts. High protein and greens above all foods. Soy, apples, carrots, and Brussels sprouts are great. Yoga, cycling, outdoor sports, tennis, golf, and squash are great activities. The meditation should employ reading, chanting, or breathing in the sunlight.
Sagittarius—The pituitary, thymus, and liver should be nourished and balanced. Lymph massage several times a year would be helpful. Green drinks, dark green vegetables, and apples are good. B complex, C, and E vitamins should be taken in higher doses than normal. Hatha Yoga, body building, and team sports are balancing activities. Meditate twice a day in a quiet, dark place with incense.
Capricorn—The pancreas, kidneys, and adrenals should be nourished and balanced. Creatine, C, L-Carnitine, Cystine, and pectin are good supplements to be heavy-handed with. Soup, any salad, carrots, and parsnips are good for the glands. Yoga of any type, jumping rope, jogging, and aerobic dance are balancing to the body. Meditate in the morning using affirmations and moments of silence.

Extra protein should be part of the daily routine, along with lots of cabbage and flax seed oil. Acidic fruit is also good for getting everything the way it should be. Mild exercise, stretching, yoga, Tai Chi or Qi Gong, and floor exercises are good. Meditate at noon outdoors for fifteen minutes with affirmations.
6. How do these remedies transform the challenges of this incarnation?
All our emotions are hormone based. Change the hormones and we change the emotions. For each body we strive to achieve a balance of body chemistry that will make the body sufficiently rested, nourished, and pleasured. That cared for, the body has no inclination for negativity. Also, activities prescribed for each hormone balance will generate greater vitality in the Etheric Body thus making the immune system stronger and more powerful.
