Release Part 2:
Surrender, Healing, and Sticky Stuff
Lecture based Questions:
1. Draw or describe a reminder or symbol of one of your helpers.
You know what to do, and it's a beautiful moment in your day. You don't have to take more than a minute at it.
2. What role does release play in the healing process?
Permanent healing of an Mental-Astral-Etheric-Physical illness can only take place after its cause has been emotionally and conceptually released from a person’s aura. Otherwise, we treat the symptoms and they remain stubborn or return after a short remission. This is easy to say and complicated to do, because illness has many layers to it and each must be peeled away and discarded like the membranes of an onion.
It is important to note here that being emotionally and physically receptive to healing follows that act of emancipating the outcome of our attempts to wholeness. We must be willing to go through whatever experience the universe in its infinite wisdom has planned for us. Resistance tends to prolong the ordeal until we get the lesson of the challenge. Our choices indeed affect the outcome, but one of the choices is whether or not we can relax into our situation and then assimilate the wisdom.
3. Is there a step-by-step protocol that we can follow to heal ourselves of a condition?
There are thousands of protocol systems that one could use. However, here is one procedure that might fit the basic package for many types of physical problems.
1) UNDERSTAND THAT THE BODY ALWAYS HEALS ITSELF UNLESS IT IS PREVENTED FROM DOING SO.
Such is the blessed design of our bodies that they are self-repairing and regenerating given the correct materials and circumstances. The reason why some bodies do not heal as quickly as they might is because they are still suffering in the environment that caused the illness or the injury. That means that the environment is reinjuring the body at a chronic level. This can be malnutrition, stress, physical or emotional trauma, emotional warfare, physical neglect, exhaustion, and physical or emotional excess.
So we want to create an environment for the body that encourages healing rather than creates injury.
2) BE WILLING TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN YOUR RECOVERY.
It has been my experience as a counselor that many patients go out of their way to be ignorant of their bodies, their nutritional needs, the biochemical and mechanical stages of their condition, and their emotional connections to what has happened to them. When we view each moment in physical life as a teaching situation, we must approach illness and injury as opportunities to learn about the body and the self. Perhaps the patient’s attachment to old habits and ideas makes it difficult to move ahead into this new phase of enlightenment.
Ask for Divine Guidance regarding the successful resolution. This might take you on an extensive research journey through several medical or nutritional books. Don’t be content with the information provided from a single healer or from someone trying to sell you a service or product. It is important to be willing to be your own Sherlock Holmes and do the footwork for your cure and healing. It will lead you to change your lifestyle and your habitual choices regarding your mind and your body. It will make you an expert in that particular condition and give you the resources to help others who are also going through this challenge.
The more you pro-actively participate in your healing, the greater its chances of being permanent and transformative.
3) PICK ONE SYMPTOM AT A TIME AND RECOGNIZE IT AS A PUZZLE TO BE SOLVED.
Here come the layers of the onion. Each symptom has its own thought form. We follow the symptom back to its Astral source. Very often the thought form is attached to the master archetype that manifests the entire illness. Sometimes the symptom is the result of malnutrition or the side effect of a past injury from trauma or virus; the present illness encourages the latent symptom to come up. Let go of your feelings about the symptom. We release all emotional reactions to the symptom and treat it objectively.
4) PRAYER AND AFFIRMATION.
This is where we redesign the Astral and physical bodies. With a quiet heart we pray for the healing of everyone in the world. We affirm for our own ideal health and wholeness with spoken phrases such as:
“I am always strong, well, and whole. I am a walking miracle of healing and blessing.”
“This body is blessed with incredible miracles. Everything works better than ever.”
“God fills my life with blessings that I can’t even imagine. How lucky I am!”
Be patient. Know that your success is inevitable. There is no need to get emotionally worked up about it.
Become a living conduit of healing and blessing through your new improved attitude.
5) SURRENDER AND THANKS.
Frequently say something such as, “Everything is correct in God’s time.” “God makes this right.” “I cast this burden on Christ the Great Physician, and I am free.” “Thank you, God, for this wonderful opportunity to pay off karma and to learn this important bit of knowledge.” “Thank you, God, for my new, improved health and understanding.”
Both surrender and gratitude open the aura to miracles and blessings.
4. So how do I release my emotions from being attached to the outcome of my healing?
Keep in mind that strong emotions create Astral noise, sort of like the snowy interference we get on TV. It is natural to respond to illness or injury with distress and worry. The mental discipline of faith is required to neutralize these negative reactions. Remember that we fear what we do not understand, so get intimate with your condition, root out the cause of its genesis, and be the captain of your health.
That said, let us turn our thoughts to helpful tools that make it easier to feel objective about wellness. It’s all in the attitude, so let’s make sure that your viewpoint is helpful to your success. You are not your body, but you are the caretaker of your body. How well you take care of this body determines the type of body that you are entrusted with in the next incarnation.
Some illnesses occur when you become emotionally attached to certain foods or physical activities. Then the excesses or deprivations of these cause imbalance in the body. The crux of the matter, therefore, is to focus on the emotional attachments to these things and release them. Appreciate them for what they are and not what they mean to you. Invariably, they are connected to a memory in this lifetime and possibly an additional past lifetime, so call up the memory. Bless the situation and give thanks for the learning event. Cut the cords that you have to the memory.
Say an affirmation such as the following. “Because of my experience I am wiser, stronger, more mature, more powerful, more skillful, more able, better equipped, more practiced, and deeper than ever before. I now claim these good things as my own through my personal work. I now divorce myself from the emotional and physical traumas that I went through. They are still mine, but they can no longer cause me trouble because they are finished. I grieve for the sad times of the past and I move ahead victoriously into my successful present.”
5. What if I have trouble locating the memory that corresponds to my problem?
All memories are stored in the Mental Body. We can get to them at any time, but for various reasons we do not access them. Very often we repress painful memories until we feel safe. Sometimes hunting them down before we do feel safe can trigger an attack from the shadow. The Astral Body is merely trying to protect itself from change, even when it is wounded.
The more helpful approach, therefore, is to create a safe emotional climate so that repressed memories can emerge without force. It is best to not do this work during an Open Key Period (there would be enough on your plate already) but rather shortly after one’s birthday.
Everything that I need to succeed in this particular challenge is revealed to me safely, easily, and in perfect good time. In God, I am healed. In God, the reason for my difficulty is made clear and its solution is manifested. In God, I am at peace, fulfilled, triumphant, and happy.
6. If I am in a negative behavior loop and have trouble getting unstuck, why is this and what can I do about it?
Familiar patterns are more comfortable than change, even when these patterns are trouble. Change is entering a mystery. It is scary. You might not come through it alive. Actually, the personality does go through a death of sorts and then arises from the ashes as an improved being.
Also, if you are still entertaining a behavior loop that is making you unhappy, you must somehow be receiving a payoff from the loop. You would definitely abandon it otherwise. Somewhere in your Astral Body, you have attached an identity marker to the situation. As long as you identify with it you will want to keep it.
Sticky situations are complex and cannot be fixed with a single magic bullet. A million tiny threads attach themselves between your Astral Body and the archetype of the problem. Even with miraculous healings, the original causes of manifestation need to eventually be addressed. Thinking that you have fixed it with a single visit to a therapist or practitioner probably means that you have really just put a band aid over the symptom and further repressed the cause. You would know that this is so because your quality of life has not dramatically improved.
The best way for sticky stuff to get unglued from your life is to invite the Spirit of Truth to transform you, because nothing can make change like Truth can.
7. How do I get the Spirit of Truth to help me?
Say, “Thank you God, for enlightenment without suffering to transform me out of this loop.” Or if you are feeling adventurous, “Hi there! How's about a dose of Truth to kick start me in the right direction?” Or “Thank you, Spirit of Truth for your touch that heals and changes. May my life now be free from this particular booger.”
To ask is to receive. Be careful what you ask for. Enlightenment without suffering is a good idea.
8. Got anything else?
Freedom from attachment is a journey of many adventures. You don’t have to experience them all firsthand. You also can deal with the issues empathetically through fiction, news reports, and your friends’ dramas.
Cut all cords at least once a day to help get your Astral Body into the habit of being free. Your biggest challenge will probably be being attached to the outcome of your desire, so affirm frequently that God is in charge, making everything wonderful beyond anything you could imagine, and blessing you constantly with a rain of happiness, health, wealth, and fulfillment. Your Astral Body will assimilate this positive idea and begin to make it happen in your life.
