The Veil of Unseeing
and
How We Interact in the Different Dimensions
Questions
1. What does your Astral Body look like? How does it maintain its form?
The Astral Body is very responsive to thoughts and emotions. The stuff of the Astral World is extremely malleable and it is possible for someone to take on any type of appearance, limited only by one’s imagination. We most frequently cultivate features analogous to the physical body, with some variations. The Astral Body maintains its appearance by — self-image, the projections of others, and repressed emotions. The physical body eventually mimics the Astral Body.
2. In the lower Mental World, how are seed thoughts brought into being? Observe one now, and note the life force that motivates it.
All seed thoughts come down from the Monad, which we call the Star Self, or the God Flame Inbeing. The Monad resides at the eighth dimension. The seed thought sinks downward through the seventh and sixth dimensions, slowing down its vibration.
When it arrives at the fifth dimension, it looks like a lovely, delicate, very bright design, sometimes reminiscent of a snowflake, but other times spherical in shape with colorful patterns on its surface. At this level, it gathers Menton energy about it, making it more similar to the Mental Body in vibration.
At the bridge between the Mental World (fifth dimension) and Astral World (fourth dimension) it takes on a very lively nature. It appears in the form of a scenario, playing out the ideals that the seed thought would like to perform. This image translates into the physical brain, where it is accepted or rejected by the conscious mind.
3. Which gland in the brain is the primary center for clairvoyance? Can other sensory places in the body qualify as part of the sixth sense?
At the very center of the head is a small cluster of glands that hold nearly all the power over our physical bodies. One of them is the pineal gland. This is the translator of extrasensory perception, stimulated through information supplied to the brain via the light receptors of the body and the optic chiasm—a bundle of nerves connecting the eyes to the cerebral cortex.
The entire physical body is a sensory receptor, and the Etheric Body an extension thereof. The trick is to comprehend what we are sensing, and to observe this information without analyzing it into doubtfulness.
4. What is the best way to develop clairvoyant strength and acuity?
The safest method is to maintain a constant dialog with your Guardian Angel. When she is communicating to you, you can feel some pressure on the right rear of your head. Her sendings are complete thoughts, very soft and faint, and always virtuous in content.
Another practice is to become very good at long segments of focused attention. Any job or pastime that encourages you to ignore distractions and continue a consciousness of involvement in the present is fine.
When a divinely inspired idea touches you, add power to it by meditating on it, organizing the goal before you pray for it, pray, then affirm frequently for its success.
5. Gazing exercise: The Water Bowl (a variation on the principle of the Black Mirror)
Using a dark colored bowl, fill it with water or oil. You may also use a black mirror for this purpose.
When the surface is perfectly smooth and still, gaze into the bowl, not focusing your eyes. Do not look at the surface of the water; do not look at the bottom of the bowl; do not look at the water itself. Instead, use the still surface as a focal point for your mind. You must have a specific inquiry in mind, or your thoughts will not be able to focus properly. You will see a vision of the person or place of your inquiry. A clear vision dominates the field of view and arrests the attention of the seer.
6. Why and how does this scrying technique work? What would be the most appropriate use of this technique?
This is an ancient practice for inducing visions. Water is an astral conduit, so it can be best applied for viewing people in the Astral World. Oil is a very still surface, so it is good when learning to concentrate in this exercise. Don’t get religious about your materials. A black mirror can also be used for this exercise, but it is expensive, so why bother?
This is not reliable for future gazing. It is best used when inquiring after a person with whom the seer has some strong connection. If gazing on behalf of another person, the seer may phase in with the client’s Astral Body for a sympathetic connection to the subject of the inquiry.
7. Draw or describe one of your helpers.
Every one of us has hundreds of helpers surrounding us with support and good will. They are Masters, teachers, angels, nature spirits, friends, relatives, ancestors, and other loved ones. Each person has a unique flavor or energy signature. Your brain can translate this into a scent, color, symbol, or face. Go ahead now, and meditate on just one of your many helpers. Record your impressions on a piece of paper or in a journal.
Fear Loses
Fear, desire, will force, feelings of desperation, and negative analysis all block the conduit of Truth from entering the consciousness. On the other end of the spectrum, exhilaration and excitement can have equally destructive results and can block receptivity. The mode that we desire to maintain is one of true peace, quiet observation, mental focus, and perpetual gratitude for being in the chain of blessing. The mind is not completely clear, but receives information and converses with the helpers that we have learned to recognize. Our emotions, judgments and sense of identity (self-consciousness) need to be set aside.
Consciousness means to be observing and interacting with full integration of all the bodies: the physical, Etheric, Astral, Mental, and Soulic. This state applies to small household tasks as well as for lofty mental or spiritual pursuits. We wish to avoid the state in which we are observing ourselves being observed by others, or observing and analyzing ourselves doing tasks. The physical mind lacks the capability to carry on both of these modes at the same time, and the self-conscious mode leaves openings for error—also cutting off communication with helpers.
You can see when someone is veiled. The eyes see without focus. The personal energy strikes outward, yet does not connect with the bodies. Tentacles and hooks anchor them to pieces of the physical life that they perceive to have value and meaning.
This is caused on the physical level by the lymbic system or the emotional-endocrine system. The instincts and the dynamics of feeling are ruled on the physical level through chemical stimulation in the hormone system. We rise past this level by acknowledging it’s strength and influence, and learning to recognize when it is gripping the consciousness. The hormones are directly affected by the Astral Body, which generates feelings, addictions, and reactions to the physical realm. It also orchestrates situations in the physical life that will validate the image that the Astral Body is striving to maintain. The Astral Body loves to have power over the physical body and the physical environment. Psychologists call it the subconscious mind, which acts independently of the physical mind, and commands a powerful grip on the quality of life when we are being self-conscious rather than fully conscious.
Illusions and misconceptions about the self originate from the lower Mental Realm through seed thoughts. These tiny and organic (they mature, grow, gather power, and propagate) thought forms have vibrational weight, and they gradually shift down to the Astral World, where they generate emotional energy (and consequently gather power in the physical world). When we are fully conscious, we can observe these better, and our objective viewpoint gives us the power to become free from our own illusions.
Thoughts and feelings have solidity in the Astral World. No thoughts are hidden; and what you are is what you appear to be. Ugly feelings create ugliness and stench; beautiful feelings create beauty and fragrance.
Repressed emotions have the most powerful influence on the astral and physical bodies. The law that governs this is simple—the parts of us that are not conscious act on our lives with great energy. Who among us can remember a time when we repeated the same emotional scenarios over and over again until we accepted them as our own and then were able to deal with them? No matter how ugly or unseemly our feelings may appear to us, they need to be acknowledged and made conscious in order to lose power over us.
