Master Djwhal Khul:
His Path and Teachings
Patience and unobtrusive presence are the signature marks of our sponsoring Master. He dislikes being the object of scrutiny and prefers us to focus on his teachings.
He asks us, “Which is of greater value to the body—the fruit, or the dish upon which it is served? Do not place such emphasis on the plate, rather take the nourishment it offers to you.”
To which we might answer, “The presentation of the food is sometimes as important to the spirit as the food itself. By appreciating the beauty of the serving dish and the placement of the fruit upon it, the appetite increases and the flavor of the food is enhanced.”
Flower A. Newhouse first mentioned him to me during a training session in the 70’s. He was among my helpers, and was observing me during her tutelage. She did not identify him, but later I recognized him by her description. The first time I saw him was during Maruhnisa’s first sitar performance in Questhaven. He was observing her very intently. His dress was similar to a Sikh’s, with a white turban and flowing over-tunic, a beige under shirt and trousers. I don’t usually observe Masters in full figure, so I did not recognize the tall and slender man as such, assuming that this was one of Maruhnisa’s helpers and old friends. I asked her who the guy in the turban was. She was surprised that I had seen him, but she did not know his identity although another clairvoyant had already mentioned him to her. Several months later, I recognized his portrait by David Anrias in his book Through the Eyes of the Masters.
Master DK changes his appearance according to the needs of the student. If a devotee is more receptive to a wise old Tibetan man, DK graciously obliges. He usually prefers the Sikh costume and the age of a forty-ish man—the form of a previous lifetime. Richard Denney has seen him with his long black hair down and wearing a chaplet like a crown, the center jewel over his forehead. In addition, Richard noted that he always wears cloth shoes.
Exercise: Adjusting the Consciousness to Master DK’s Communication
There is no need to have a specific question or curiosity about a topic; Djwhal Khul offers information that will help you to understand your circumstances from a point of view that sees the eternal cycle. All that is necessary is a humble willingness to receive any truth that you might need.
In stillness, invoking the Spirit of Truth, take the three breaths of cleansing, healing, and renewal. Envision a shimmering turquoise blue globe before you. This is your planet. Find your place in it, and see a point of Light spreading out from where you are to envelop the whole globe. This is our wish, to be Light diaspora on earth.
Master DK will register to you as a very quiet and serious presence on your front-right. His messages are very short, as he waits for you to assimilate each bit of information before he continues.

The peacock feather is a symbol representing clairvoyant consciousness, and sometimes DK wears this in the center of his forehead with a jewel in the middle. When he wishes to bring an idea to your attention, he may also rivet your gaze to a peacock feather in your environment.
Very fond of the Phoenix, DK conveys this image to people who need to remember that our beings are perpetually regenerating. He also uses this as a symbol for the reincarnation cycle and for illumination through karmic experiences.

A Few Past Lives
Sources: 1998 Grolier Interactive Encyclopedia, Oriental Magic by Sayed Idries Shaw; Philosophical Library
DK has spent many lifetimes in the Sumerian valley and in the eastern countries. This because his circumstances required that he remain in highly civilized areas. He has managed to remain very quiet about past lifetimes, but is willing to share a few with us.
Several lifetimes were spent in learning the mystical practices of India, Pakistan, Egypt, Arabia, China, and Tibet. He had experience with several stone-age cultures (such as the Australian aborigines) as well.
In ancient Parthia, DK spent a quiet lifetime as a prince who had much time studying and practicing ancient knowledge. This took place somewhere around 200 B.C. His possibly most famous lifetime is the Sufi mystic, poet, and theologian Ansari, born May 4, 1006. He was a Persian.and wrote in both Arabic and Persian. His most famous work was the Munajat, a collection of mystical prayers. He died 1089. We would also recognize him in the fifth guru of the Sikhs, Arjun, who held sway from 1581 to 1606. He is attributed with producing the Granth Sahib, which is an anthology of hymns by Sikh, Hindu, and Muslim holy men.
The legend goes that DK is presently incarnated as a Tibetan priest, inhabiting the same body for over a hundred years. We all agree that this is entirely possible, since the longevity technique is mastered by the 4th degree of initiation. When I inquired about this, it was verified that he is still on the physical plane. We were dialoging, a few years ago, when I could see that the body was indeed passing away. He "transmigrated" at the death of the old body into his new incarnating baby body that he had already designed. He said that it was a "piece of cake". I guess all the Bodhisattvas know how to do this. In this year 2000, he is a toddler.

Some of His Functions
Many of you already know and love this Master Teacher through his varied efforts to spread the truth through as many media as possible. You can see his influence in television, film, novels, popular songs, and poetry. The Star Wars series bears his mark all over, especially his personally inspired character Yoda. Some later characters that bring through his inspiration are the teacher in Kung Fu Panda and Dumbledore from Harry Potter stories. He is credited with most of the information that founded the Theosophical society. The Rosecrucians also can thank him for much of their doctrine. The very soul of patience, he sponsors hundreds of small esoteric study groups and cultivates many personalities to become teachers. As you know, he is the sponsor of our own school and has brought you as students to the classes.
His special interests are meditation as a vehicle to enlightenment (including Vipassana) and poetry. He teaches thousands of students on an individual basis, patiently dispensing information at a very personal level. Whenever anyone has a question about the order of the universe, DK will send the answer quickly, quietly, and efficiently.
Richard Denney said, “It was he who really helped me to understand the race structures.”
During the 40’s through the 80’s he was a teacher for the Seventh Ray, but has since begun helping more people on the Third Ray.
The greatest wealth of all
Is that which has no end.
It comes from the reality of knowing
And continues in the warp and weft of the universe.
