Master Gamaliel:
His Path and Teachings
Although there is a tendency to want to know as much as possible about the personal history of a teacher or a Master, let us not lose sight of the most important thing: the content of the teachings. Illustrious or reclusive (and many of us have experienced both) as some lifetimes may have been, it is the person we address today who is most important in our lives, because the Now always supplants the past.
Following are some nuggets of information that you may find interesting about Master Gamaliel, the lifetime from which he took the name you use, some other appellations that he is known by. More important are some of the ways in which you may attune to his beam of knowledge. The Masters are constantly seeking able protegees and acolytes, so he welcomes your interest and your willingness to serve in his fold.
Exercise: Adjusting the Consciousness to Master G’s Communication
It is better to have a problem that needs solving, for Gamaliel’s specialty is to help people to adjust their perspectives on life’s problems. In Stillness, invoking the Spirit of Truth, take the three breaths of cleansing, healing, and renewal. Envision your heart chakra filled with rose and gold Light, then ask your question. Gamaliel seems to appear above your head on your right side, but this is simply an effect of the physical brain. What you are actually receiving is his direct communication with some very strong answers.

Flower A. Newhouse's First Contact
On the evening of August 14, 1950, a picture came in the mail from Arthur Learned of Stamford, Connecticut. When Flower (A. Newhouse) saw it, she said words to this effect:
“This is an authentic picture of a Master who seems so familiar to me, but right now just can’t identify him by name, though I know it will come to me.”
Later that evening, she loaned the picture to one of the co-workers who was in the midst of testing.
She said, “This will bring you strength, so I will leave it with you for the night.”
At Flower’s request this picture was placed on the altar at the beginning of the meditation at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 1950. Flower intuitively felt some instruction would come in its regard. Unexpectedly, Flower became conscious of a strong, warm beam-like sunshine going through the middle of her being. It was round and pure white with silver flecks. She glanced back and saw that it enclosed G. and to the side went as far as the middle of L.G.’s (Questhaven’s first secretary) body. Then instruction started flowing through Flower.

A Few Past Lives
Master Gamaliel had been Joshua in an early incarnation and also Ezra or Esdras. Esdras is mentioned in the Apocrypha, especially in Esdras II, the same as Ezra in the Old Testament, proven by Ezra 7:1 and II Esdras 1:1. Gamaliel I was a Jewish sage, a grandson of Hillel, who was president of the Sanhedrin early in the 1st century. He is associated in Jewish tradition with a ruling easing the way for the remarriage of widows. Gamaliel I is known to Christian tradition from the Acts of the Apostles, which portrays him favorably as the teacher of Saint Paul (Acts 22) and the advocate of the Apostles before the Sanhedrin (Acts 5).

Gamaliel of Jabneh, or Gamaliel II, succeeded Johanan ben Zakkai in the leadership of Jewry toward the end of the 1st century AD. A great-grandson of Gamaliel I, he was head of the Sanhedrin at Jabneh, a leading center of Judaism after the siege of Jerusalem in AD 70. Gamaliel is credited with organizing the synagogue service. He also standardized the Jewish calendar, assigning fixed dates to festivals. In AD 95, Gamaliel petitioned the Roman emperor Domitian to rescind an edict expelling the Jews from the empire. Returning from a trip to Alaska, Harding died suddenly of a heart attack on Aug. 2, 1923.
Gamaliel Bradford, b. Boston, Oct. 9, 1863, d. Apr. 11, 1932, was a biographer and writer best known for his "psychographs," short, montage like sketches of historical figures that sought to reveal their inner lives. Types of American Character (1895), Lee, the American (1912), Portraits of Women (1916), and Damaged Souls (1923) were representative of 11 such volumes. As a poet, novelist, and playwright, Bradford was less successful. Some of His Functions
Gamaliel is presently developing a network of spiritual centers all around the globe of this planet. The intention for this project is the establishment of a new wave of thinking among newly individualized persons. Eventually (over many years), these centers will freely communicate without the need to organize together, yet the spirit of brotherhood and support will flourish between them. Gamaliel has dedicated several geographic places to this purpose and continues to monitor and guide their gradual development.
He is also concurrently involved in some deeper works which involve training willing students to become servants of Light and teachers of many. Although he is not in charge of these projects, he becomes interested in the ways that the students react to the information and notes the ones who are sincere in implementing what they have learned.
This Master works under the Lord Maha Chohan, who is the officiant of the Third Aspect of the Trinity. He can be reached only from the Soul Level when one is very quiet and meditating from the depth of the Inner self. Gamaliel teaches techniques that help us to attain inner peace, directed attention, and Immensity Consciousness. He stresses the attainment of the Soul Consciousness. At Christmas of 1948 his assignment was to avert world disorder as much as possible.
Gamaliel (along with the Master John) is most often mistaken for the Lord Christ because, he often has an appearance that resembles the historical Jesus. Sometimes he is known as the Promised Prince, which was an honorific from a former incarnation. Sometimes he appears in a different aspect and be known as the “Master Z”. The Master Z used to say, “I am the last.” He also goes by The Brother of Wisdom.
We can best tune into his Beam of enlightenment at 1:00 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m. each day. We can perceive his presence only at those times when the mind is very still and operating from the Center on the Soul Plane. His influence and purpose is to bring peace and help us to understand the meaning of the Innermost Holy of Holies. He influences the words and deeds of many students and writings.
This Masters symbol is hexagon in shape, with a Roman Cross inside, bars touching the sides.
The chalice is his preferred symbol, which is the open door to the reception of his beam, and all who look upon it would first cleanse themselves that they may receive that which it holds in potentialities for them.
He is a representative of the Third Aspect of the Trinity, therefore, his Beam is pure white with flecks of silver. The Master Gamaliel’s Beam is gentle white mostly. As this Beam touches the Mental World it becomes a very light apple green.
Just before his thought form faded out (departing from our thoughts), he touched his forehead, then placed his hand horizontally across the heart region, and then he placed his hand higher above the heart, fingers pointing upward. It was thought that this was a symbol of the Trinity.
He is being educated for the post which now the Lordly Maha Chohan fills. Ask him those questions that are affiliated with his special instruction pertaining to disciplines, the wisdom side of spiritual teachings and information about the other dimensions. Strength and wisdom are what He brings to us. He serves the Third, or, Philosophical Ray.
Florence Scovel Shinn and Joseph Murphy are two of his protégées. Many books contain his hallmark. Letters of the Scattered Brotherhood by Mary Strong and God at Eventide and God Calling by A.J. Russell contains teachings from the Master Gamaliel. Many of the Kabbalistic mystical teachings are sponsored by him. He is constantly looking for people who are willing to help him to teach the ways of the mystical attitude. His writings can be discerned by an elegant, clear, no-nonsense style with no flowery language or praise. He sometimes allows his “channels” to use contemporary language in order to keep the sentences as succinct as possible. He loves to create affirmations.

Affirmations by Gamaliel
•I am ______. I am attuned to God and through my alignment with His Spirit and through His love for me and guidance of me, I now live in the present. I respect myself and am glad for the opportunities confronting me. I approach them without hesitation, knowing that it is more important to do them than even to appear gracious or able.
•Even as I am, I am being cared for by the love of those from the higher spheres who want me to succeed.
• I am in the presence of God. As the Supreme Presence loves all its works and the lives it has engendered, its love enfolds, strengthens, and protects me, too.
•God sees me, watches over me always. God is my friend, my benefactor, my provider, and my teacher. I trust not myself, but God. I lean not upon my own understanding, nor decisions nor qualities, but I look upward and (in thought) traverse or scan the Kingdom of God Presence around me. I release my human incompleteness, my problems, my aching need, to the Presence of Fulfillment before me now.
•Everything that I am and will become is blessed and watched by angels and helpers around me. I am continually loved, supported, and forgiven.
•As I listen to Divine Guidance, I succeed brilliantly.

THE FIRST BOOK OF ESDRAS
8:1 And after these things, when Artexerxes the king of the Persians reigned, (458 BC) came Esdras the son of Saraias, the son of Ezerias, the son of Helchiah, the son of Salum, 2 the son of Sadduc, the son of Achitob, the son of Amarias, the son of Ezias, the son of Meremoth, the son of Zaraias, the son of Savias, the son of Boccas, the son of Abisum, the son of Phinees, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest.
3 This Esdras went up from Babylon, as a scribe, being very ready in the law of Moses, that was given by the God of Israel. 4 And the king did him honor: for he found grace in his sight in all his requests. 5 There went up with him also certain of the children of Israel, of the priests of the Levites, of the holy singers, porters, and ministers of the temple, unto Jerusalem.
6 In the seventh year of the reign of Artexerxes, in the fifth month, this was the king’s seventh year; for they went from Babylon in the first day of the first month, and came to Jerusalem, according to the prosperous journey which the lord gave them. 7 For Esdras had very great skill, so that he omitted nothing of the law and commandments of the Lord, but taught all Israel the ordinances and judgments.
8 Now the copy of the commission, which was written from Artexerxes the king, and came to Esdras the priest and reader of the law of the Lord, is this that followeth:
9 King Artexerxes unto Esdras the priest and reader of the law of the Lord sendeth greeting:
10 Having determined to deal graciously, I have given over, that such of the nation of the Jews, and of the priests and Levites being within our realm, as are willing and desirous, should go with thee unto Jerusalem.
11 As many therefore as have a mind there unto, let them depart with thee, as it hath seemed good both to me and my seven friends the counselors; 12 that they may look unto the affairs of Judea and Jerusalem, agreeably to that which is in the law of the Lord; 13 and carry the gifts unto the Lord of Israel to Jerusalem, which I and my friends have vowed, and all the gold and silver that in the country of Babylon can be found, to the Lord in Jerusalem, 14 With that also which is given of the people for the temple of the Lord their God at Jerusalem: and that silver and gold may be collected for bullocks, rams, and lambs, and things there unto appertaining; 15 to the end that they may offer sacrifices unto the Lord upon the altar of the Lord their God, which is in Jerusalem.
16 And whatsoever thou and thy brethren will do with the silver and gold, that do, according to the will of thy God. 17 And the holy vessels of the Lord, which are given thee for the use of the temple of thy God,which is in Jerusalem, thou shalt set before thy God in Jerusalem. 18 And whatsoever thing else thou shalt remember for the use of the temple of thy God, thou shalt give it out of the king’s treasury.
19 And I King Artexerxes have also commanded the keepers of the treasures in Syria and Phenice, that whatsoever Esdras the priest and the reader of the law of the most high God shall send for, they should give it him with speed, 20 to the sum of an hundred talents of silver, likewise also of wheat even to an hundred cors, and an hundred pieces of wine, and other things in abundance. 21 Let all things be performed after the law of God diligently unto the most high God, that wrath come not upon the kingdom of the king and his sons.
22 I command you also, that ye require no tax, nor any other imposition, of any of the priests, or Levites, or holy singers, or porters, or ministers of the temple, or of any that have doings in this temple, and that no man have authority to impose anything upon them.
23 And thou, Esdras, according to the wisdom of God, ordain judges and justices, that they may judge in all Syria and Phenice all those that know the law of thy God and those that know it not thou shalt teach. 24 And whosoever shall transgress the law of thy God, and of the king, shall be punished diligently, whether it be by death, or other punishment, by penalty of money, or by imprisonment.
THE SECOND BOOK OF ESDRAS
242 I ESDRAS saw upon the mount Sion a great people, whom I could not number, and they all praised the Lord with songs. 43 And in the midst of them there was a young man of a high stature, taller than all the rest, and upon every one of their heads he set crowns, and was more exalted; which I marveled at greatly. 44 So I asked the angel, and said, Sir, what are those? 45 He answered and said unto me, These by they that have put off the mortal clothing, and put on the immortal, and have confessed the name of God: now are they crowned, and receive palms. 46 Then said I unto the angel, What young person is it that crowneth them, and giveth them palms in their hands? 47 So he answered and said unto me, It is the Son of God, whom they have confessed in the world. Then began I greatly to commend them that stood so stiffly for the name of the Lord. Then the angel said unto me, Go thy way, and tell my people what manner of things, and how great wonders of the Lord thy God, thou hast seen.
