The Layers of Perception: Part 2
Shifting Your Focus
Lecture based Questions:
1. Draw or describe a reminder or symbol of one of your helpers.
2. When I want to be clairvoyant, what am I looking for?
More importantly, you should be asking what you are not looking for. You are not looking for physical appearance. You are not looking for sex appeal. You are not looking for wealth. You are not looking for good education. You are not looking for high culture. You are not looking for youth, health, cleverness, physical beauty, powerful social positions, fancy possessions, or anything else that could disappear in a moment of loss, tragedy, catastrophe, or fade with the passage of time. In other words, you look away from what is ephemeral/not real. Now don’t get me wrong. Those things are all wonderful blessings. They make life fun. They have juice and they make life worth living. Physical life. Not the things that concern us in clairvoyance.
What you do look for are the things that cannot be hidden by glamour. You are looking for bright energy. You are looking for deep and solid character. You are looking for purity of intention. You are looking for discipline and strength. These are powerful truths that give rise to a beautiful life and a beautiful world.
3. How do I see those things?
Different information comes to you in different ways.
The core of your perception while you are in this physical life, is the solar plexus. You will remember from that chapter that a negative or positive response is easy to get from this chakra. The negative is described as a pinching or closing of this vortex, and the positive is characterized by a relaxed or dilating response. Also, if there is something not quite right in your choice or environment, you will feel the tightening there.
Astral vision does not come with the physical eyes, although sometimes one might confuse the experience with physical vision. At the corner of the eye you can perceive Astral motion and visitation. Sometimes, a still, photograph-like image comes to your sight. This is not really done with the physical eyes, but the image superimposes itself upon your reality so that it seems as though it is taken in with your physical vision. Sometimes also, you dismiss your Astral perception as merely your imagination.
Etheric vision is silvery gray and rainbow-hued. You can easily see it around light sources, in the air as Prana, or outlining people in a dimly lit room. This is nothing more than a peek at an energy field.
Mental vision comes down rarely, but when it does it imposes its reality vividly, encompassing the consciousness. For a very quick moment (almost not measurable) but seeming to take a long time, this is a real vision. Sometimes it has a message, sometimes it is a visitation from a teacher or an angel. Sometimes it is the answer to a prayer. Sometimes also, it can be a remembrance of times past for you.
4. Why is my Guardian Angel my best teacher for clairvoyance?
This is her job:
to train your receptive ability
to strengthen your character so that you can face anything
to help you to build up your Personal Power
to equip you against whatever challenges might befall you.
You can see that this is a tall order. In addition, she has a few tricks she uses to get you to see things correctly:
She waits for moments of emotional impact to teach you certain lessons.
She talks to you in the quietest voice to encourage you to listen intently.
She networks you with other people to expose you to information.
Now, if you're really serious about developing your clairvoyance in a healthy way, just ask her questions and listen for the answers. There is no question too small or unimportant to ask her about. The very act of asking and listening is excellent training for perception. She will open up experiences to you that you can't even imagine.
This has been my path to clairvoyance. I can tell you it has been an unbelievable life. Yet, it has happened and continues to unfold in an astounding way.
5. Some of us have tried for years to be clairvoyant, and we don’t feel successful. Why is it so hard for us?
The bag on your head is made up of fear and doubt. However, it is there for a reason. If you lack courage, you cannot survive an Astral confrontation with a mischief maker. If you do not have a high standard of ethics, you can be seduced to using your will force. If you are short on the ability to focus your mind, you will not make sense of what you see.
The program is well thought out. You gather the virtues around you and they are your armor in any time of trouble. You learn what works in the world and what obstructs you, and these principles hold true no matter where your eye lands.
6. When does clairvoyance become easy?
When fear and doubt no longer hold your hand.
Yes, this is a trite answer, but it's accurate.
The fear of the unknown or of being frightened, or of being violated is a huge obstacle. Not only does it invite a lot of misfortune through the focus of your mind, but it also prevents you from moving forward in the learning process.
Nothing happens to you without your permission. Your belief system might allow for violations or attacks, but you can heal this through affirmations, such as, "THANK GOD I AM ALWAYS DIVINELY PROTECTED".
If your belief system says that you can't possibly be clairvoyant/psychic, then of course you will doubt everything that you perceive on the 4th and 5th dimensions. Once again, affirmations can adjust this hindrance to being receptive. "THANK GOD I AM BLESSED WITH CLEAR PERCEPTION ON THE PHYSICAL, ASTRAL, AND MENTAL LEVELS".
It's much easier to spend some quiet moments alone observing what you can in a short meditation. Eventually, this becomes second nature and you get information all the time in all types of environments. It's like building up a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger and more skillful it becomes.
