The Holy Comforter
Lecture based Questions:
1. Draw or describe a reminder or symbol of one of your helpers.
Yes, you should know what to do by now!!!!!
2. What is the Holy Comforter?
Usually referred to as the third aspect of the Holy Trinity, it is a rotating office filled by a member of the Hierarchy. It is also called the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Intercessor, the Paraclete, the Advocate, the Helper, the Consoler, and the Friend in Need. The purpose of the Holy Comforter is to provide anyone with nurturing support when asked. This is different from the Spirit of Grace, which comes unasked for. The mantle of the Holy Comforter is a divine substance of peculiar charging. When you feel it upon you, you get all goose-bumpy and relaxed. It’s color is rose pink with patches of turquoise blue and little stars of gold and white. Its texture is somewhat like cotton candy, and its temperature is neither hot nor cold.
3. Has the Holy Comforter always been with us?
No. It was one of the devices created by our present Lord Christ at the time when he ascended to office. It changed the rules for humanity as well as for all life on earth, and ushered in our Age of Grace. Thereafter, anyone who prayed for intercession or help would be advised and blessed by the servants of the Holy Comforter.
Ever since its inception, the karmic rules have changed from “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth” to a more varied means of learning through the karmic process. Now, instead of experiencing pain for pain every suffering that we have caused to others in the past (with rapid pay back), our negative karma is saved up for us until we are emotionally mature enough to experience the suffering without wanting revenge. This increases our chances of swift learning much more. Also, we were given to alternative methods of paying off bad debts before suffering had to take place. These were to do acts of kindness to strangers (preferably without their knowledge Matt. 6:3) and also to cultivate the consciousness of perfect empathy.
4. Who are the servants of the Holy Comforter?
There are none on earth who have not been in the calling of the service of the Holy Comforter. We are often used unknowing to its end, just as we are sometimes avatars for Christ without being aware of it.
On the more substantial side, all 3DIs must serve a stint exclusively in the service of the Paraclete. This run usually lasts about three to five lifetimes and includes the time in between incarnations as well. The 4DIs and the higher initiates are in service whenever there is a need. They can fulfill these tasks while they simultaneously perform other duties.
One of the most famous servants of the Holy Comforter is St. Jude Thaddeus, the brother of Jesus. He is called the Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes. Many of us pray to him for help in daily personal matters. The Catholic protocol is to pray a novena to St. Jude and then to publish a newspaper announcement when the miracle has taken place. It is also helpful to wear his medal on your person.
The angelic orders that serve the Holy Comforter are well known to you and me. They are the orders that include Warrior Angels, Inspirer Angels, Healing Angels, and Angels of Prayer. All the orders under the Holy Comforter are those who also serve the Spirit of Grace and Mercy. We call these the Orders of Love.
5. What is the meaning of the word Paraclete?
It is derived from the two Greek words para—to be next to and kalein—to summon. It is especially descriptive of the function of the Holy Comforter, since it must be asked for in order to do its work. It also bears the denotation of a comrade who can defend us, help us, soothe us, and give us hope. This is the title usually born by the officiant of the Holy Comforter.
The officiant changes frequently, so it would not be smart to drop any name at this time. Toward the end of humanity the tour of duty for the officiant will be longer, but right now it is swapped around as a training device and a convenience for any 6DI who is willing to take on the extra responsibility.
The specific job of the Paraclete is to maintain the quality of the Mantle. This requires a certain strength of perseverance and focus. We can help the Paraclete in this work by our gratitude for its work in our lives. We can be intimate friends with the Mantle by invoking it on a daily basis. The Mantle has intelligence of its own, so talking to it directly is also helpful in cultivating and fortifying it.
6. When should we invoke the Holy Comforter?
Anytime you need some comfort, a friend, help, rescue, or any other intervention from the stress of your life.
For example, if you are ill and you have a project to finish, you can say to the Holy Comforter, “Please don’t test me now, please help me to get this job done. Thank you!” Of course, the spirit in which you say it makes all the difference. There is no commanding going on. It is brother to brother that we ask for help and guidance.
There is no limit to the help that you can receive through the Holy Comforter.
7. Can we ask for the Holy Comforter to be with people other than ourselves?
You can pray for the Holy Comforter to be with anyone in your karmic circle. Just as you would ask a good friend or brother to be with your child or your spouse, so does the Mantle of the Holy Comforter bless and protect your loved ones when you ask for the favor.
8. Exercise: Getting Friendly
Speak to Him thou for He hears, and Spirit with Spirit can meet—
Closer is He than breathing, and nearer than hands and feet.
—Tennyson The Higher Pantheism, st. 6
•Sitting comfortably, close your eyes and turn your face upward about 45º. Keep your mouth closed and your face relaxed.
•Place your right hand in Message Position (hand like a blade, thumb at breast bone, fingers straight and pointing upward). Smile and breathe normally through your nose for five reps.
•Place your right hand horizontally over your forehead. Place your left hand horizontally over the back of your head so that your head is resting back on your left hand. Breathe normally through your nose for five reps. You may find that your inhaling is rapid and that your exhaling is somewhat of an effort as your diaphragm is in its most advantageous position.
•Cup your chin in both hands and smile as your head is still tilted upward. Breathe normally through your nose for five reps.
