The Small Gate:
Taking the Active Role in Your Experience
Enter through the narrow gate.
For wide is the gate and broad is the road
that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life,
and only a few find it.
—Matthew 7:13-14
Lecture based Questions:
1. How is the fabric of the physical world influenced?
Your thoughts and feelings shape the atoms of this dimension. Your expectations (which are formed on top of past expectations of other people) reinforce the structures that already exist. A physicist will tell you that atoms are constantly on the move. As I breathe, my body molecules are billowing into the room to be integrated with a plant or another person. I touch the wall, and we exchange atoms on contact. The world seems to be solid, but it is constantly surging and changing without our perceptual awareness.
You see an object that someone else has already dreamed and made. Your visual concept helps that thing to retain its form. You drive along a road that someone else has built. As you drive on it, your action affirms its continued existence. How people feel and act on the road affects the flow of its traffic.
Entropy is law in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th dimensions. Meaning, everything has a tendency to fall apart. Atomic and molecular bonds tend to disintegrate. Things shift around and reform into other objects according to energy flow and attraction.
Similarly, in your life as you experience it, the people and things you contact behave in a manner consistent with your belief system. Your pets react to your anxieties and fears, because these are your strongest subconscious energies. Your life partners play out your family myths as though they were actors and you had written the script. Money behaves in a way that you feel it must inevitably go. Karl Jung said that our feelings created the reality of our experience.
Our lives are reflections of our Astral Bodies. Our days are expressions of our beliefs and feelings.
2. What should we ignore in our daily experience as illusion or distraction from our purpose?
Obedient as this dimension is, we would be wise to discipline our thinking and speaking. If we were to limit our utterances to positive and successful statements, wonderful things could happen. The good chi that we spread would heal the people we meet. Our words of good luck and youthful health would make our lives easy and fun.
We learn harshness, abuse, competition, and territory from many sources in this life. We learn to expect misfortune for ourselves. We come to enjoy watching the misfortune of others. This negative mode sends out bad chi and attracts bad chi 3 x 3.
So, lets set our sights on a fantasy of sweet love without bitterness, endless abundant supply, long-lived and youthful health, and fun at work and at home. I believe in a world where everyone is loved and accepted just as they are. I believe in a world where everyone and everything has beautiful things to eat and drink whenever they need it. I believe in a world where everyone and everything has a safe, cozy, dry bed to sleep in. I believe in a world where everyone expects and receives peace. I believe in a world where everyone and everything has a safe home that is beautiful and convenient. I believe in a world where we all get along, all help each other, all bless each other, and all cherish each other. Atoms and microbes, plants and animals, people and minerals—we are all in this together for the same reason. Let us rejoice in the good company.
3. Why is it so difficult to discern what is useful from what is not?
This is the challenge of the game. We are hard-wired to see the surface. We are designed to be easily distracted from what is essential for success. The more lifetimes we experience, the better we get at the game. This is a complex situation. Nobody is expected to get it right in the first few hundred lifetimes. Be patient with yourself and with others. Just as you are doing your best with the tools in your toolbox, so are others doing their best with the equipment they have.
Try this and see if it helps. Sit quietly with eyes closed. Breathe slowly for a minute or two. Now, ask your Guardian Angel which choice you should make today about the topic at hand. Feel the pressure and Light of her answer inside your head and in front of your face. Right or Left? I-5 or the 805? Eggs or tofu? Is there a better choice you have missed? Your Guardian Angel can give you every answer. The trick is to pay attention.
The impeccable life requires discipline of positive chi. It requires stillness in the mind. It requires intentional behavior. It requires questioning before action. It requires faith in the unseen future. It requires empathy with others. All these skills take practice. So one skill at a time, one adventure at a time, you will get it all right in the end.
4. How do the limitations of the physical body act as clues and guidance for our attention?
We designed our bodies with the help of our Kindel Archangels. Before we started this incarnation, we programmed the adventure. The body is an ally, a limitation, and a puzzle to solve in this game of life. The challenge is to take good care of the body. Find its perfect balance of rest, exercise, nourishment, and fun. Our karmic lessons often reside in the body and the different ways that we must find to heal it, protect it, promote it, and strengthen it.
We do this while we are dealing with other people, careers, environmental conditions, and technology. Rarely, we need to push the body past its comfort in order to accomplish something important. However, most of the time, we must honor the body and put it first in our responsibilities. Society doesn’t like this. It wants us to suck the life out of our bodies until they are broken and dry. Society wants to exploit everyone and everything until they are dead and useless. Your challenge is to change society by your singular choice to nurture your own body above the demands of society. One life at a time, we can change society. It will stop being abusive and exploitative. It will become supportive and nurturing to all living things.
5. Oracle Exercise: Nine Star Ki
Part of the I Ching is the order of the universe and our places within it. A tortoise was caught swimming up the Lo River in the year 2205 BCE (4,000 years ago). The ancient Chinese considered it a celestial messenger, because it bore on the squares of its back a curious pattern of dots. This pattern is basis for the Nine Star Ki system. It correlates to the Pleiades constellation. The Chinese tradition says that all energy entered our universe through the Pleiades as a portal.
This system is as complex as western astrology. It begins with the hour and year of birth. Then it incorporates the five Chinese elements of earth, water, fire, wood, and metal. The twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac are used with the above data to calculate the most auspicious compass directions, careers, compatible partners, and life choices. It can predict the future with amazing accuracy when done by a knowledgeable practitioner.
The Chaldeans borrowed from this system thousands of years ago. They used it as a basis for our western astrology.
6. Why and how does this work?
As with all astrology and numerology, this type of oracle is like a map of the physical body. The destiny of a body and the challenges that it will meet are written in the DNA. The vibrations of this destiny can be described in the astrological birth information.
What would be the most appropriate use of this technique?
If you are interested enough to study this ancient form of divination, you will be surprised to find that it is a rule book for behavior, deportment, moral choice, and the balance of the personality. It is also a guide for the most harmonious career. The latter can be especially helpful for someone who has been abused as a child and lost her/his sense of preference.
7. Draw or describe one of your helpers.
You can do it! Feel the love!

I Am:
Slim, Muscular, Healthy, Strong,
Attractive, Youthful, Wise, Knowledgeable, Brilliant, Lucky, Rich,
and Happy in My Relationships
There are no other paths to Mastership than this one. When you have finished wallowing in your pain—when you have explored all the pathways to pleasure—when you have finished seeking for answers outside your own truth—then the foundation for greatness can really begin. You can only cultivate the heights of consciousness through persistent focus of intention and suspension of the identity.
This is the wonderful paradox. Pursue the discipline of no-self and involve yourselves in the daily adventure. Listen with your mind. Maintain a dialogue with the Divine Network. As you do this, the essential self comes forward and brings with it the unique individuality that makes you shine in a crowd like diamonds among lumps of coal. Without the false self woven tightly around you, the essential self sparkles with charm, wisdom, and strength.
Create in your morning time a daily moment of reflection for the purpose of your success and your ideal. Do not waste time seeking to arrange the goals. Instead, focus your intention on the archetype now in your aura that awaits manifestation through your connected attention.
Once again, speaking and writing affirmations is very important to your success. It is more important than entertainment, than anger, than daydreaming, than fear, than worries. Affirmations are effective when said aloud with repetition. This creates the energy for change more certainly than astrology, talismans, decorations, or compass directions. Affirmations bring down Light into the slower regions, and Light transcends all the limitations of the physical realm.
To be faithful to the ideal is to anchor in the physical world the necessary energies for its fruition. To act in active faith is to move in immense power beyond your understanding. From the Causal World, we observe people who understand the way of active faith. They shine in the physical dimension like flowers of colorful light. Their energy transforms the unconscious people around them. Their own lives have charm and joy. The uniqueness of their beings throws out the sameness of the human animal. They live with triumphant certainty of their miraculous heritage.
Create your life in the image of your ideal. As you progress, you ability to envision perfection for yourself increases in effectiveness and pleasure. As you allow the Great Mind to fulfill the functions of burden, detail, and order, you are more free to work with excellence, accept the imperfections of others, and find the beauty in patience. Many of the gifts that you receive in the course of a day come to you unlooked for and beyond imagination. If your mind is overly occupied with issues of worry or dissatisfaction, you can easily miss these gifts that are intended to lift your spirits and test your sensibilities.
There is none so hard among you that cannot feel the miraculous energy of Truth. It transforms what it touches and creates new pathways in the mind. To invoke the Spirit of Truth in your understanding of each daily adventure is to have this wonderful companion constantly attending and advising you through epiphanies and personal interactions.
Create the beauty of your life through your intention. Turn your focus away from what you do not like and set your thoughts only on what you like and would like. Allow that which is not yours to exit your life by releasing it from your thoughts.
The world is not so harsh a place when seen from the Soul perspective. Our immature attitudes are similar to a child crying over the cold weather, but not donning the sweater that sits beside him. The answers are all around you, sometimes disguised as problems. At any given moment, you may reach out and take one of these for your own happiness and fulfillment.
The path to fulfillment is like a traveler who saw a beautiful city that tantalized him from across a deep valley. He wished to enter it, but how would he reach it? The elements for building a glider to fly across the rift were beside him, and an instructor to teach him the technique. He might take the time to learn how to build the glider and fly it across the ravine through the walls of the place he wants to see. He could also set out immediately and walk the long, perilous journey down into the chasm and up the mountain of his desire. Which would he choose? Either way, he will arrive there. In the end, the destination is the same, although the experience and knowledge from the two approaches are different.

THINKLING
The world came to me in the deep and soft night of my thought.
“You can feel me beneath you
though you cannot see me now,” she said.
“I support you and feed you though you think of me rarely.
Thus is the way of the universe.”
The air came to me in the time of my waking, warm and cold and alive.
“You can feel me within you
though you cannot see me now,” he said.
“I fill you and surround you though you think of me rarely.
Thus is the way of the universe.”
The water came to me as I sat here, wondering about what I did not know.
“You can feel me flowing through you
though you do not see me now,” it said.
“I create the liveliness of this place, though you think of me rarely.
Thus is the way of the universe.”
I think of the universe.
