Laying Down Spells, Thought Forms, & Prayers

Lecture based Questions:

1. Draw or describe a reminder or symbol of one of your helpers.

How about your Angel of Inspiration?

2. Do we create powerful thoughts without realizing it?

All the time. The spoken word is more powerful than most people realize, and it always kicks off some type of manifestation. We use the cautionary maxim, “To say it is to make it.” As the acolyte develops and gains experience, the truth of these words becomes increasingly evident. Also, the cumulative energy of many minds creates a manifestation that echoes for several years. An accessible example of this would be certain stretches on the freeway that always flow well, or that generally clog up. The emotional responses of the drivers who pass through these areas reinforce the existing thought forms, which perpetuate the energies involved with place and people.

3. What can we do to manifest physical safety and protection?

There are physical spells & tools, words of power, and astral creations that create this effect. Following are some simple techniques that you can use.

•Line of Salt—plain old table salt under the door mat. You may wish to vacuum it up and reapply it once a year or so. As you slowly pour a line [or several fine lines] of salt in front of the door, repeat the words, “Purify, purify everyone who passes by.” The salt acts as a cleanser for everyone who steps over the line of salt to get into your home. They should experience a lightening effect and you should enjoy more harmonious feelings with your visitors and house mates.

•Incense can be burned several times a week. This neutralizes bacteria, pollen, and fungi at the physical level and transmutes negative energy into positive energy at the Astral level. The ash (which performs the physical benefit) clings to everything and should be vacuumed and dusted weekly to clean up the boogers.

•Sand Traps and other earth spells can be studied in the Cunninghams’ book Earth Magic. These are lovely rituals that create tools for manifesting blessing. If you are not into rituals, don’t worry about this. Sand Traps are jars of several layers of different types of sand. The sand is placed in a jar with a repetitive incantation of blessing to suck up negative energy. The jar can be buried along a walk way or hidden in a closet. The practitioner experiences a wonderful glow of blessing as the repetitions progress.

•Drawing the symbol of protection on any surface will create an effective thought form and link one’s subconscious mind to the purpose of the talisman. I gave a beach stone to a friend with this symbol on it as he was about to drive across the country to Florida. He said that the talisman brought him through several close calls and he felt grateful to have it with him.

The point in the center is an effigy of the subject which is to be protected. The circle is an effigy of Golden Light, which is solid and impenetrable as it encompasses the ward in safety and Divine Guidance.

•Triple-Ring-Pass-Not is a thought form which we may simultaneously create in both the Astral and Mental dimensions. You can read about it in Disciplines of the Holy Quest by Flower A. Newhouse. In essence, the meditator envisions a hoop of Divine Energy turning around one so that the effect is enveloping. A second hoop turns outside of the inner hoop even faster and in a different pivoting direction. A third hoop turns outside of the middle hoop even more fast and in a different pivoting direction from the other two.

Shields, crosses, and swords can also be envisioned in a similar manner.

•Fu Dogs can be purchased wherever there are fung shui or Chinese accessories. These are not decorations, but are guardian elementals that protect the home from entities that do not belong.

•Mezuzahs are traditionally used outside Jewish homes. These are wooden, metal, glass, or ceramic hollow cases hung on the door post pointed away from the house. Inside it is a copy of two scriptures:

Deuteronomy 6:4—9 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments That I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

Deuteronomy 11:13—21 “So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul—then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil. I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.

"Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the Lord is giving you. Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land that the Lord swore to give your forefathers, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.”

This talisman is said to ward away evil spirits, but a more spiritual practitioner would say that it is a house blessing.

4. What about harmonious relationships?

One of the laws of the universe is in play here. The law goes, “The more resources you put into a focal point, the greater its expansion.” Relationships are wonderful examples of this law in action. The more time, money, energy, prayer, and priority that you invest in this aspect of life, the more successful and deep are your relationships. A relationship is like a plant. It needs nourishment and attention to stay alive and to grow. If neglected and deprived, it will wither and die. Following are some techniques that can be applied to this success.

•Heart Charms—two hearts tied together and hung or pinned in the CORNER CLOSEST TO NORTHEAST of the main entrance [not the wall next to the corner nor on the floor by the corner]. This is a Feng Shui remedy. The act of hanging the hearts in the corner anchors the subconscious mind to the success of this aspect of life. The gal I learned this from had results in nine days. A friend met her husband after three weeks. I have witnessed this charm end projections and fighting in marriages. The acts of choosing, purchasing, tying, hanging, and remembering give the foundation to this type of elemental and lend it sufficient power to do its work.

•There is no substitution for daily affirming the type of relationship that one wishes to have. It is important to use the key words supportive, loving, thoughtful, kind, gentle, good provider, partner, safe, successful, fun, loyal, compatible, satisfaction, etc.

•Other types of love spells are available, but they are no more powerful than these, and some of them violate the laws of Light.

5. What does Feng Shui have to do with thought forms and spells?

The words mean Earth Magic. When we acknowledge that the physical world has certain laws of energy movement, we make a giant step to success in life. Each of the nine sections of a home have significance in the subconscious mind with roots that began before history. The magnetic fields of our physical bodies also have specific requirements and beneficial directions. Real or silk plants register in the mind as life energy. Certain colors stimulate the subconscious mind to focus on specific topics. Other Feng Shui remedies have primal symbolic influences on us and can be used to great advantage. This is a wonderful low energy path that enhances the quality of life. and directs the flow of energy to where it should be.

6. Why are prayers different from spells?

Angels get involved with prayers, and this generates speed, high energy, and a network of movement that sends ripples of blessing far beyond your imagination. The procedure for effective prayer is as follows.

silence

invocation

request

thanks

release

Spells can certainly be angelically guided, and their use is required for the 4DI. A spell of blessing is a low energy path for creating good karma. Meaning, it gives a big effect for a low expenditure of time, attention, and energy. More bang for your buck.

9. Meditation Exercise: No Tin Can Required

Following is a short exercise in telepathy. Keep the intention good natured and humorous. We only want Light and fun in our lives.

• Two people hold a string between them. One is the receiver and the other is the sender. Keep smiling. A third person holds a picture card [such as an ESP card] behind the receiver’s head.

•Without thinking in words, the sender fills up his/her mind with the picture.

•The receiver closes her/his eyes and envisions a river of Light flowing to him/her. The picture arrives on the river of Light.

Necto Benedictae Perpetuae

I continually weave blessings.

All spells, prayers, and talismans are tools that we use to create a focus of thought. If we had perfect faith in elements of Divine Life, we would not need to use these things. As we are, we do require certain tricks to get us to think in the right way to accomplish the right things. The ultimate mission of using these instruments is to live deliberately. Eventually we will live every moment with full consciousness and well planned intention.

The purpose of using protection devices is primarily to enforce the belief system of the practitioner—namely, to be fearless and to strongly believe in freedom from harm. As we have said before, faith is what this life is made of and what creates change within it.

Love spells have a slightly different effect. Most of us have foggy notions about relationships and how the minutiae of their ongoing development should take place. These spells create magnetic thought forms that cultivate useful ideas and bring in the right literature and people to help clarify what one needs, wants, and should attract.

The reason why spells resonate so deeply in our feelings is that they represent hope, desire, and improvement—easier life! Rhythm, rhyme, tools, ingredients, talismans, and rituals all have subconscious meaning at a universal level. It is the symbolism of our invisible feelings made concrete.

To the outsider, they also seem to be a quick replacement for the labors of effort. This is not true; spells are a valid part of mental discipline. The experienced practitioner knows that a spell is only as good as the mental focus, the motive, the preparation, and the care in execution. Sounds like discipline to me.

Eventually we will say blessings and command good things wherever we go. Then we will be very close to the angels in presence and in spirit.
