The Divine Archetypal Father
Questions:
1. Does the Divine Father Archetype also live in the Spiritual Landscape, as the Divine Mother Archetype does?
Yes, in the sacred region of your Spiritual Landscape. This is not accessible through wandering in your dreaming or imagination. You do not approach the Divine Father aspect, but you invoke him through your sincere calling. Both the Divine Father and the Divine Mother are parts of you. He is your avatar of the paternal deity.
2. So, if I invoke him, will he come and dialogue with me, just as the Archetypal Mother does?
That’s right! In your interaction, it will seem as though you had been transported to his domain. Of course, this is all taking place within your Astral Body.
The Archetypal Father is most effective on issues of business, career changes, prosperity, and interactions with men and boys. You could say that the most deep and important issue for this figure is the relationship between father and child. Working with the Archetypal Father can heal this connection. You can possibly transform all the dynamics of a father-child relationship, if the parent is still living. By the way, if you come from abusive parents, it is best to do the Astral work completely before attempting to contact the parents in physical “reality”.
3. What benefit does the Divine Father give to me?
The blessing that he imparts is to awaken you to the opportunities that are present in your everyday life. For example, he can guide you correctly in your career. He can increase your skill in networking with people who can help you in your material life. He will send gifts to you that will aid your success in attaining your goals.
Is he like the Jehovah-God figure of old?
He can appear as a Jovian figure—mythic and imposing, fatherly, physically powerful, commanding nature’s elements. He can also embody the appearance of a younger, more stabile, and approachable father.
4. Do other father-type aspects inhabit my Spiritual Landscape?
Oh yeah. There are negative and positive father characters that can be found in our Spiritual Landscapes. There is the critical father, the impotent father, the abandoning father, the heroic father, the missing father, the physically abusive father, the helpful father, and many other father types that are aspects of ourselves.
We deal with the father components of self when we want to design a purposeful relationship with our physical dads, whether they are still alive or not. We do this work in a state that Carl Gustav Jung called active imagination. We heal ourselves by creating the father that should be available to us in our daily lives. We deal with the non-helpful ones with honest, emotional communication. Then we make decisions that are right for us, regarding what we will accept as correct behavior from the men in our lives.
5. What are some of the skills that the Archetypal Father can teach me?
He can teach us any of the skills that we stereotypically associate with men: carpentry, mechanics, math, chemistry, management, entrepreneurship, mentoring, and problem-solving. Of course, you don’t have to be of male gender to employ these skills and occupations. Anyone can do these things. However, the AF teaches us how to use them.
The Archetypal Father networks us to worldly connections. Through him, we can meet physical people that will teach us the skills that we want to learn. By means of the AF, we find mentors who can boost us to great opportunities.
6. Exercise: In the Lap of My Father, the King
1) Sit quietly so that your body does not distract you.
2) Breathe normally and slowly three times.
3) Say:
From the North, from the direction of the Creative Power,
I ask that you, Divine Father Guide, be with me today.
I need your guidance.
I need your hopeful words.
I need to heal my life.
4) Picture yourself as a small child sitting in a large, bright, empty room.
5) You are sitting in a large, soft, comfortable velvet chair. Feel how cozy and safe it is.
6) A good giant enters the room. It is your father the king. He is very tall and strong, gentle, kind, handsome, wealthy, and powerful. When he speaks, he speaks softly, but his voice still rumbles and echoes like deep drums, like thunder, like earthquake, like Niagara Falls.
7) He says to you:
Here am I.
There is no need to wander. From this moment on, I find you and guide you.
There is no need to fear. From this moment on, I protect you and provide for you.
We heal your life together, you and I.
I am in you and your life comes through me.
Lonely child, I shall companion and help you from this moment on.
8) You reach up your arms, and your father the King picks you up and carries you to his throne.
Suddenly there is glorious music. Trumpets and drums and beautiful singing.
9) You are safe in the arms of your father the King.
10) Say:
From this moment on, I am
successful,
well-connected,
respected,
and my wealth increases every day.
Under Grace, and in Perfect Ways.
7. Draw or describe one of your helpers.

When I Felt Safe and Protected
by a Strength Called Love
the foundation of my courage and my persistence
We don't need to have no stinkin' good relations with our birth fathers to have good fathers in our lives. Even without continuous father relationships, a kind and encouraging mentor can come along during many occasions. In rough patches of life, a thoughtful father-figure can guide you to your next correct choice.
I cannot stress enough the importance of having a healthy spiritual relationship with the Archetypal Father. It affects your business and work life. It affects your relationship with money. It affects your relationships with men. As you cultivate positive thoughts in the direction of the Archetypal Father, you will notice an improvement in the way you interact with both your profession and your possessions.
You must do the work to cultivate a strong, powerful, healthy, loving father archetype in your spiritual landscape. Your physical experience will follow your inner work. As above, so below—meaning, the physical life follows the archetypes of the Astral World.
In the Hindu religion, we see the Ishwara Trimurti creating a cycle of three powerful actions: Brahma creator, Vishnu sustainer, and Shiva dissolver. In your life, the creator makes and builds blessings of your request. The sustainer supports your health, supplies your needs, and brings you to people who will teacher you skills and virtues. The dissolver removes obstacles when asked, and will dissolve your neurotic ideas when needed. The trick is to not pretend to be a self-sufficient grownup in this world. Instead, allow the Divine Father to bring you supply, good fortune, and guidance.
The planets Jupiter and Saturn are the astrological aspects of how men interact with us. If you are lacking strong Jupiter aspects in your birth chart, then you may find yourself without an earthly mentor or father. However, this still means that you can have the Heavenly Father and the psychological Archetypal Father. No human father is perfect anyway, so it is always a good idea to promote in your meditations a trusting relationship of blessing between you and your Archetypal Father.
Saturn represents the negative father in your birth chart. Some of us know very well the violent or neglectful side of this archetypal figure. If you have some strong aspects there, you might have a history of father-sourced abuse. It would be wise to direct your meditations to transforming all the men in your spiritual landscape into heroes and philanthropists.
Following are some affirmations to heal any father-related traumas in your Astral Body.
Every man that I know and meet helps me to beautifully succeed in life.
I have positive and mutually beneficial relationships with every male in this life.
Every time I need a mentor, God sends me the perfect help and support.
