Sorting the Day: Priority and Motive
Thank you, God for the blessings from heaven
And the flames of my desire that urge me forward.
When there is no fear, risk is not an obstacle.
When there is no anger, love encapsulates all choices.
When there is surrender, resistance and frustration do not touch me.
Thank you, God for the offers of guidance
And the ideas of what I shall someday become.
Lecture based Questions:
1. Draw or describe a reminder or symbol of one of your helpers.
You know what to do.
2. How do I know which events and items are mine and which are not?
The Solar Plexus is the best indicator of legitimate activity. When this chakra contracts, pay attention to the moment and figure out the meaning of your reaction. If the Solar Plexus feels unhappy about an activity, the odds are good that it does not belong to you. Even difficult situations can be accepted by the Solar Plexus if they are really part of your rightful path.
3. Are certain commitments karmic in nature and therefore necessary, even though the Solar Plexus rejects them?
The Solar Plexus is the correct weather vane in choice making. We often plunge into agreements without the approval of the Solar Plexus or (more importantly) the Guardian Angel. Sometimes we are merely curious and wish to explore an episode. Sometimes we are driven by darker motives. These situations, marked by a physical sense of unease or weariness, can be cut free from our lives in a harmonious way.
4. What are the wrong motives for making a commitment?
Fear always makes bad choices, and yet fear is the most common reason for many decisions. Another common consideration for bad selection is validating the identity. Another cause for misdirection is lack of experience under pressure.
5. How can we release ourselves from situations that are not ours without creating conflict or bad feelings?
As always, direct action (which gets us into these messes) is the least favorable method to resolving the problem. It spends personal power and generates obstructions. The best and most permanent way is to use prayer and affirmation. The best type of prayer is the prayer of surrender, such as the following.
“Dear God, if it is Divine will that _______________________(this situation or person) should exit my life, then I would feel very relieved. But if you have a better plan, then I gladly go with yours.
Some very effective affirmations are:
“May the Will of God now manifest, and permeate this physical plane, under Grace in perfect ways.”
“Only that which is mine according to my Divine Plan enters and stays in my life.”
“Enlightenment without suffering for all involved in this issue.”
“I am not attached to the outcome of this circumstance. I believe in God’s perfect solution.”
6. How can we avoid taking in people and obligations that are not ours?
Practice being non-reactive. That is, when a concern is brought up to you, allow the information to enter your consideration, but do not respond right away. The I Ching (Hexagram 18) recommends three days for any decision. When a person petitions you for involvement in their lives or in their cause, take the same amount of time if possible. The situation becomes very clear in time, and many hidden elements come to light when you wait without jumping in. Three days may not be necessary to make a decision if the setting truly does belong within your karmic framework.
7. Why do people who do not belong to us want to enter our lives?
There are certain persons who are going through the karmic stage in their evolution that you call addictive behavior. They use other people for worldly resources, emotional energy, and entertainment. We can pray for these people to find healing and enlightenment without suffering.
9. Exercise: Breathing the Peace
A particular rhythm of inspiration and exhalation is valuable during the crucial moment between consideration and action.
•Sitting comfortably, place both hands on top of the thighs at a natural position, palms facing upward and fingers fairly flat. This is most easy when the posture is good, shoulder blades touching.
•Use your heartbeat as your metronome. Each heartbeat will be your count as you breathe.
•Inhale through the nostrils and exhale through the mouth. You may use the tongue to control the air flow while the mouth remains slightly open.
•The stomach extends naturally as you inhale, and it relaxes to a flat position as you exhale.
•Breathe in for three counts.
•Hold for three counts.
•Exhale for three counts.
•Hold for three counts.
•Envision golden Light circulating in the trunk of your body, moving forward and upward, and then back and down.
•Do nine reps minimum.

God’s Perfect Solution
Aside from the basic work of providing ourselves with food, clothing, and shelter, there is the consideration of activity that gives meaning to life in a way that is rewarding and fulfilling. We wish to incorporate that urge with the other basic needs so that every hour of the day has a sense of wholeness to it. The challenge of the game of life is to circumvent the unnecessary and encompass that which is ours by Divine Right.
We have already established that the members of our Soul Clan do belong in our lives. Some of them have karmic debts with us and we will necessarily engage in dramatic relationships with them. Their peaceful resolution depends on the most conscious partner in the relationship and the Light work applied to the condition.
Then there is the issue of career and life experience. The influences of our parent figures shape both our neuroses/obstructions and tools for success. Rigid tradition can be balanced by change tempered with respect, logic, and gradual reform. Weakness can be balanced by gentle, patient retraining. Finding a therapist who is sensitive and non-aggressive is always helpful in this area of life.
One of our lifelong tasks is unique to existence in this physical world. It is the meeting of choices with wisdom, comprehension, and responsibility. We are not expected to succeed at this process at a continual pace until we have reached the 5DI. Until then, life is a colorful experience of bloopers and learning experiences. Even the impressive 4DI can fall victim to her or his prideful traps. Even the holy and single minded 3DI can be fooled by the skillful con man.
Although it is right and correct, it is simplistic to say that dialoguing with the Guardian Angel is the foolproof way to find the correct answers in life. The inexperienced disciple may often feel overwhelmed and intimidated by the emotional pressures that stimulate him or her during the course of a day.
In a million possibilities, there is always a single correct answer for the moment. Part of the challenge is perceiving what this is and implementing it in a way that creates harmony in our own lives and outward into the lives of others. The key to success is focusing on the moment at hand and not trying to fix everything all at once.
Let us review the motives that take a person away from the Divine Plan. When we know what to find, we can take our choice making to a better level of success.
•Fear not only points the way to bad choices, but it also attracts the object of its focus. Fear of lack generates the conditions of poverty and loss. Even when someone accepts a job offer out of fear and need, that particular situation will not develop to a satisfactory conclusion. The fear of loneliness tends to attract two types of people into someone’s life—the abuser and the abandoner. The abuser can either be a needy vampire or a dominator. The abandoner reacts to a person’s personal abandonment patterns and acts out the myth. Fearful decisions usually create sticky conditions that may take some time to resolve.
•Nearly every arrangement that we create in life is related to the validation of identity. Each action one takes serves to transform or entrench the image of self. Many of our possessions and activities are what we call identity markers. They serve to define the ego in terms of style, social class, and worldly opinion. At the 2nd Degree of Initiation (2DI), many of these influences loose their power. As long as our choices are identity driven, the Open Key Period remains an annual ordeal of loss and reformation.
•First Ray people are always around to apply artificial pressures on the psyche. Also, the world creates illusions of urgency. Many lifetimes must be experienced to gain enough presence of mind to act rationally within a short amount of time. The best way to go in such situations is to defer decision making for three days. This dissipates the Astral toxins in the context and allows the mental body to assimilate the truth of the matter.
•Addicts go from benefactor to benefactor as they make a career of funding their addictions. They have a perpetual quest to slake the beast of their desire. Their own people have already been used up in this vampire like behavior. Now they go sucker-hunting, finding well-meaning individuals who validate their own identities by doing favors for people. The hunting tools of the addict are well-rehearsed. They cultivate a childlike demeanor, an aura of vulnerability, and a charming attached quality. The sucker/target finds all this very appealing and eagerly takes on the addict as a new project. The cost to the sucker is valuable time with family, energy that could have been used for a successful life, and the loss of personal power.
If you are watching the world from your inner center, the vibrations of influences beating against you will become apparent. You will see clearly the yang attempts to knock you from your seat of peace. You will know what to avoid and how to act.
