The Solar Plexus Chakra:
Radar & Receiver
Lecture based Questions:
1. What is the Solar Plexus?
Also called the third chakra, the SP is a multi-dimensional organ of the vortex variety. It usually can be found about four to six inches above the navel. Physically, it corresponds to the solar plexus nerve center situated behind the stomach. This nerve plexus is called the autonomic brain, the stimulation center for many hormonal activities in the body. In a similar manner, the Solar Plexus Chakra (SP) translates Astral Body conditions into hormonal activities in the physical body.
People new to the chakra idea sometimes confuse the navel with the solar plexus. I know that I did! They are in different places in the body of course. The navel is at the umbilicus and the SP is centered at the middle of the stomach. The navel chakra is a sub-chakra of the SP. This means that the SP affects how the navel chakra works—its flow, size, color, etc. There are minor chakras at every nerve plexus in the body, and the navel chakra is included here.
2. Which Astral Body conditions does the Solar Plexus translate into the physical body?
In some capacity, the Solar Plexus is responsible for all of your emotional activity. How you react to situations, the way your body feels at any given time, your preferences, instincts, habits, and impulses are all in the domain of the Solar Plexus.
There are several organs under the direction of the Solar Plexus as well.
and the thousands of tiny glands throughout the body that secret hormones.
In a way, it can be said that hormones create the body, using the genetic code as a template, and then building upon this framework to make the body that you see today. The effects of hormones on your experience are much more profound and encompassing that people normally imagine.
In other words, your well being, your appearance, your relationships, your ability to function, and your capacity for happiness all hinge on that ever-changing cocktail of hormones coursing through your body.
3. What other functions does the Solar Plexus perform?
Our usual conscious use of the SP is as a radar for measuring good or bad vibes. The SP is always correct for discerning whether a situation is friendly or not. It contracts when it doesn’t like something, and it relaxes and blooms like a flower when it is happy. A person who is in touch with her/his body is better at this than someone who has divorced himself with his/her somatic identity. Also, a person who practices the discipline of boundary awareness is good at this.
The SP is not only a great radar dish (whether or not you can pick up TV signals on it depends on your focus, I suppose—just kidding!). The SP also receives energy that makes up the fabric of your life. What I mean is, the stuff your life is made of comes into the physical dimension through the Solar Plexus Chakra. The sublime, the good, the bad, the ugly—all are received by you through the SP.
4. Can you give more information about the radar function?
The Solar Plexus has several organs, one of which is a bowl shaped extension that looks like a delicate, glistening mesh. It is used for discernment and can be used a few different ways.
Yes-No: You really don’t need a pendulum if you pay attention to the yes-no function. Ask it a question with a yes or no answer. The SP contracts if the answer is no, and it relaxes if the answer is yes.
Boundary Violations: Your personal boundaries have body proximity borders, emotional familiarity borders, courtesy borders, personal time borders, giving-service borders, and butt-insky borders. These are all essential for emotional well-being, happiness, a well-balanced lifestyle, a sense of centeredness, and a tranquil environment.
When someone violates the warning parameters of your personal boundaries, the hair on your arms stands up and your SP folds inward like an old hibiscus flower. If you’re smart, you’ll slip away with as few waves as possible. People can easily violate you when you are tired, or distracted, or in the habit of being violated. Heeding the warning signs and stepping away is a discipline that gets easier with practice.
Good Chi and Bad Chi: When things are right, the SP spreads out like a vegetable serving bowl so it can soak up all that good energy. If there is yucky energy about, the SP tries to twist itself shut like a sleeping flower, but sometimes the schmutz seeps in through the cracks. This is why it is important to keep the SP clean and sealed.
5. Could you elaborate on how the energy of life enters through the SP?
Everything that manifests in your life comes in through the SP. If you contract the SP to resist unpleasant things, then blessings cannot enter either.
The Astral Body is connected to the Solar Plexus through a cord kinda like an umbilicus. Everything that is the Astral Body gets sent as information to the SP, which translates the strongest messages as manifestation in this physical life. In other words, your body, your environment, your relationships and your luck are all manifested through the Solar Plexus.
6. What other organs are in the Solar Plexus?
Yeah, but you won’t like them.
The tongue of malicious delight—a giant tongue like Jabba the Hutt’s extends to taste the suffering of others like a nasty treat.
Cables of attachment—whenever we consciously or subconsciously latch onto someone or something, a cable with a hook slips out from the SP and grabs onto the Astral Body of the object of our attention. We can suck energy like a vampire through these cables or allow others to drain energy from us via their sent cables. It’s good to cut cables every day.
Expeller blower—periodically the SP undergoes a rhythmic cleansing cycle. This is physically typified by exhaustion, weakness in the legs, and a liver flush. When this happens, take a sick day and rest. It can be avoided if the SP is cleaned and energized on a daily basis. The chakra itself during this period flutes outward like a trombone bell and colorful waves of light flutter outward like ribbons on a blowing fan. The SP does not normally send out energy, and this can be very depleting to the body.
Congestion pimple—when too much dirty energy gets stuck in the SP it looks like a huge angry boil. If it ruptures from too much gunk, then it goes into expeller blower mode.
7. Draw or describe one of your helpers. You may use a symbol or describe a fragrance, color, shape, or name to help ground the knowledge of your helper.
8. What is the best way to keep a healthy SP?
Clean it every day and then fill it with Divine Golden Energy. A healthy SP is the size of a vegetable bowl with golds, oranges, yellows, and spring green colors variegated in it. I have never seen two that looked the same. It has around 256 petals for the walls of the chakra, and when they are healthy they are like perfect little tubes fluting outward from a generous center of about three inches.
9. How can I protect my SP from bad vibes?
Use the Donna Eden technique of zipping yourself from the pubic bone to the bottom lip and then locking the zip.
Or
envision a white shield of impenetrable Christ Light in front of your torso to protect yourself from all negative shit.
Or
spread your hand flat and move it slowly upward over your SP like a spatula spreading Gold Light over the aperture.
Or
pretend there is a velvet curtain with a bouncer standing in front of your SP allowing all blessings in and keeping all yucky stuff out.
If you slipped and your SP feels like there is a riot going on inside your guts, you can use the following chant until you feel relief.
Gold and White, the blessings of Light.
