The Astral Body Part 3:
Your Backside and Your Blind Spots
Lecture based Questions:
1. Draw or describe a reminder or symbol of one of your helpers.
2. What is my Astral Backside?
It could be called an organ of your Astral Body, but more accurately falls under the classification of an aspect. It is the part of you that you are not consciously owning up to or those traits that you don’t want to identify with—in other words, it is made up of your vices, your denied weaknesses, your secret addictions, your blind spots, and your vanities.
As you become more wholly conscious, the Backside recedes until it has completely integrated with the conscious aspect of the Astral Body. This usually occurs around the 3DI. It is a process that takes many lifetimes and should not be attacked with ambition, which is often a feature on the Backside!
You also gain access to your Spiritual landscape through the Backside. This is not done consciously, but usually occurs during sleep.
3. Can anyone see my Astral Backside in the Astral World?
There are so many things to see and experience in the Astral Dimension that one seldom notices the Backside unless specifically looking for it. Remember that the Astral Body is a complicated organism with many organs and aspects that we do not have in the physical body.
In a person who has not yet achieved the 3DI, the Backside of an Astral Body can take up the entire back half of the body, but is not part of the self-image, so is not part of one’s “public face” or general appearance. However, it is easy for someone to examine your Backside if they are interested. Your Guardian Angel is looking at it pretty much all of the time. She has a very nice view.
4. What does a typical Backside look like?
It’s not a pretty sight, but interesting nevertheless. Different emotional traits have their specific appearances.
For instance, pride manifests as a dark stain between the shoulder blades. The greater the pride, the blacker and larger the stain. Avarice can look like octopus arms extending from the armpits. A thick dragon’s tail slides behind the person who enjoys exerting power over other people. You get the picture.
Also you might want to remember that in your aura are elementals who feed off of these emotional energies. So you not only have the Backside part of your Astral Body going on, but you also have elementals related to the feelings hanging around you and feasting on your expression of these weaknesses and vices.
5. What can I do to facilitate the integration of my Backside?
Pray frequently for enlightenment without suffering. Also ask your Guardian Angel what to work on. She has a better view than anyone, so she can help you one weakness at a time. When you ask for help and guidance with your Backside, you benefit in several ways.
1) Since you are already working on your subconscious mind with your Guardian’s help, she does not need to call in the big guns of the Remliel (Awakener) Angel to get your attention.
2) Your daily meditations on this challenge get your crown chakra well tuned and nicely expanded.
3) Your Guardian will help you to deal with this part of yourself in small bites that are relatively easy to manage in your daily life, but you must specifically ask for this.
4) Because your physical environment (including your relationships with people) is directly controlled by the Backside/subconscious mind, you will gain increasing influence over events and interactions in your daily life. By applying appropriate affirmations you eventually heal all wounds and aberrations in the Astral Body.
6. How should I heal a particular vice or weakness that has been lurking in my Backside?
When you become aware of a fault, it no longer hides on the Backside, but becomes integrated into the conscious “public face” of your Astral Body. Then you can deal with it. Affirmations are the medicine that heals and supports the well being of the Astral Body. Say them frequently in positive mode.
For instance, if you were to become aware that many of your relationship problems stemmed from your belief that nobody would like you if they really got to know you, then you could address the root cause through a positive correction. You could say, “Everyone loves me, everyone cares about me, everyone supports me, everyone listens to me, everyone appreciates my entire self, everyone believes me, everyone helps me to succeed beautifully.”
As another example, say you found out that your somatic feelings were interfering with your health and your appearance. You could say,
“Every day, I nurture my body through good nutrition, fun exercise, renewing sleep and rest, and excellent grooming and hygiene.
My efforts are reflected in attractive appearance, a happy body, and enthusiastic energy.”
If anxiety attacks are an issue for you, they are often seated in the Backside. Phobias usually have conscious connections attached to them, but panic attacks have a subconscious source. They are linked to a single key belief. Some typical negative beliefs are :
I am drowning, falling, buried alive in this overwhelming avalanche of stress and responsibility.
Everyone uses me and throws me away.
There are too many demands on me.
I can’t breathe, I can’t think, I can’t cope with this situation.
My life is going to crush me.
The remedy could be repeating these affirmations or make up one!
I am stronger than this life.
God heals me and my circumstances.
God gives me everything that I need to heal and succeed.
The Holy Comforter stays with me and gives me the support that I need.
I always feel the strength of loving support around me.
Thank God, that this is the best day of my life so far!!!
It should be noted that people who experience anxiety are usually not looking for guidance or a changed consciousness. If you want to help someone who is facing this challenge, no amount of pep talk or criticism will help. Instead, ask if it is all right to pray for this person, and then (on approval) get to the affirmations.
Such a person would probably prefer to have you keep him/her company. If you have the time, this is a good idea. Hang out. In this way, you can be an avatar for the Holy Comforter. You must not sacrifice your own convenience or needs, however, because then you would be a co-dependent.
7. Meditation Exercise: The Way Within Is Through the Back Door
•Breathing normally, sit or lie down in a comfortable position so that your body does not distract you.
•Picture yourself holding a door handle with both hands. It is attached to a door on the side of a wall. What does the door look like? What does the wall look like?
•The door is not locked. You may open the door and look through the doorway. What do you see on the other side?
•A happy child greets you as you hesitate to enter. He/she invites you in and takes you to all his/her favorite places. You find this entertaining, but you have come for a different reason. Ask the child, “Can you show me how to solve my first problem?”
•The child says yes and leads you to a pit. Solemnly, the child point into the pit and says, “It’s icky in there. I won’t go in, but the unicorn can help you.”
•A unicorn appears in the place of the child. “Get on my back, and I’ll take you down,” it says. You mount the unicorn and it leaps into the darkness with you on its back.
•You land with surprising softness in a twilight world. “Stay on my back while you are here,” the unicorn commands. You obey gladly as you ride through this dim, smudgy, and frightening place.
•The unicorn takes you to a cave and knocks on its entrance with its horn. A hermit comes out and gives you a small box. The hermit says, “Do not open this box until you are out of the pit and through the Back Door.” You thank the hermit for the box and for the good advice.
•The unicorn takes a giant leap and jumps out of the pit. It carries you directly to the Back Door. You dismount and reverently thank the unicorn for the help. The happy child runs up to say good bye. You pick up the child and give him/her a big hug and a kiss. They both watch you as you pass through the door.
•You close the door behind you. As you open the box, you say, “This is the solution to my first problem.” What is in the box?
