States! 5/14-15

Post date: May 10, 2021 10:53:23 PM

Parents & Players, see the details below. Important points:

    • HS & MS teams! All eligible Middle school players (8th & below) should play with the MS team. The MS team has a player shortage while the HS team has an abundance of players.

    • We need volunteers. Parents, family members, friends. Please help this tournament to happen by signing up for a volunteer shift!

    • Players. Please ensure that your USAU & utahultimate registrations are up to date and paid! (there is not a separate individual registration for the state tournament).

    • I will be at PVP at 12:45 on Friday if anyone would like a ride to the tournament.

    • Masks are required for players and coaches; spectators need to wear a mask if they are not socially distanced.

    • Practice Mon & Wed 5p @PVP. See you there!

Hey All:

I forgot to mention that we will need each Team to Provide Volunteers for this event. Each team should provide 2-3 Parent Volunteers. Since all teams have a bye at some point during the tournament, we recommend that parent volunteer during this time. Please share this link and let you parents know when your bye is so they can sign up.

Also I have had a few people ask about Saturday Games. All pools have a single elimination bracket or consultations games scheduled for saturday; dependent on result from Pool play. You can see these games in the packet. To see these games online, select the Drop Down or Tab that says Pool Play and change it to Championship.

Thanks

Hey All:

Welcome to the Utah State Championship - May 14th & 15th. We are excited to host the largest youth tournament in Utah. We will be hosting 51 Teams across 4 divisions; All at one location on the same weekend. This weekend we are out at the Regional Athletic Complex (RAC) in Salt Lake; these are some of the best fields in the state.

There is a lot of info in this email and the captain packet; please read them both fully.

Kendra Mitchell will be our Tournament Director for this event.

Start time for games is 2:00 on Friday and 9:30 on Saturday. Captains meeting will be at 1:30 on Friday; even if you have a bye first round please have your captains at this meeting.

We highly encourage all teams, player, coaches, and spectators to join us for our Championship Games this weekend. Lets give these great athletes the recognition they deserve.

Girls High School Championship Game 4:00 at Field 3-B

Boys D1 Championship Game 6:00 as Field 3-A

We will also have a Middle School and Boys D2 Championship Game. Both of these games will be at 2:30; Middle School at Field 3-B and Boys D2 at Field 14-A

Please see the Tournament Packet here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y3JqeOxdNP1gCloxlKRXJxGfg7tyvm-w/view?usp=sharing

You can see the full schedule here; schedule is subject to change so please check it regularly for any updates:

We will be presenting our All-State Teams between the Girls Final and the Boys Final. If you do not nominate them, they can not be selected; so take a few minutes to nominate your players:

We will continue to have the same mask policy we have been operating under all season. Coaches and Players are expected to wear masks while on the field and in team huddles. If you have a player with an underlying health concern, talk with the other coach prior to the game to determine the best solution for that one player. (Note- this is to determine an acceptable accommodation for a player; not the whole team). The RAC has told us that spectators will need to wear masks when they are not able to socially distance and while in a building; such as the restroom.

Food options are fairly limited out by the RAC, we have two Food Trucks coming out to help you and your team out. One truck will be serving Burger, Hot Dogs, and BBQ; while the other is serving Gelati Ice Cream.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Please forward as needed.
