In addition to games this Thursday, girls have a tournament Saturday and MS has a game @ Riverton on Friday. I am probably not going to be able to make it to Friday's game. Here are details, and a couple of other important items.
This Week's Events
Friday 3/29 5pm: CHUMS vs Riverton @ Wardle Park Fields (click here for directions) . Meet at Park Village Park at 4:15 to carpool.
Thursday 3/28 5:30pm: CHUMS vs LPA @ ??? Location TBA (Most likely in Utah County - I have emailed the league directors and LP coaches to pin down the location for the game - I expect to hear back from them today). Meet at Park Village Park at 4:15 to carpool.
Middle School Parents: I will not make it to the game Friday. I will probably be at the Equestrian Park with the HS teams on Thursday. We need drivers to help get all of the kids to the MS game both Thursday & Friday. I think that Gary is planning to be there. Please let us know if you are planning to drive. Also let us know if you have additional seat belts in case any players don't have a ride.
Thursday 3/28 4pm: Boys vs Lone Peak B @ SLCo Equestrian Park
Thursday 3/28 4pm & 5:30pm: Girls games @ SLCo Equestrian Park
Saturday 3/30: UUDA HS Girls Tournament @ Legacy Fields, Farmington (click here for a map). Exact times TBA, but I estimate the tournament will probably go approx 9-2. Let's plan to meet at Park Village Park at 8am Saturday morning to carpool. This will be a CH / Judge / Jordan combo team. A link to the tournament packet for download can be found at the end of this post.
Don't forget practices Tuesday@5, Friday@5 (for HS), and Saturday@9 (for HS Boys & MS). You will be on your own for Friday & Saturday practices this week, since I will not be available Friday and I will be at the girl's tournament Saturday.

Other Upcoming Events (next 4 weeks)
BYU Girls Handling Clinic Apr 5 5-8p. For all girls, ages 12-18. Free, but you need to register. We won't participate in this event as a team. It will be on an individual basis, but I highly encourage you to attend this clinic. You will learn a lot! A chance to learn directly from BYU Ultimate players. Details are here: https://www.byuchiultimate.com/online-store/Youth-Girls-Handler-Clinic-by-BYU-CHI-%26-Elevate-Club-Ultimate-p100580087
Lone Peak Invitational Tournament (High School boys), Apr 19-20. HS Boys, please add this to your calendar. HS Girls, we are on a waiting list. If one of the teams drops, then we would be able to participate.
For any players 16+, Salt Lake County spring league is starting soon. Registration is open. The county spring league games are on Thursday nights just like our high school games, so it is difficult to do both, but if you do decide to do both, it will be excellent high level practice for you and really help you become a better player. Some of our players participated last year and grew a lot. Here is the link for that league: https://slco.org/sports-office/ultimate-frisbee/Adult-Ultimate-Frisbee-Spring-2019/
2019 YCC Pre Tryout - for advanced players. YCC is the all-star team that practices to travel to out-of-state tournaments including Nationals. If you are interested, I highly encourage you to at least go check it out.
Parents: We need 'chaperones' and Volunteers
We are required to have 1 chaperone per team per game in order to participate. We have not been in compliance with this requirement. I am currently the only registered chaperone. Obviously I can't stand in as chaperone for all 3 teams. Parents, you can help by registering as a chaperone. A chaperone is more than just an adult who shows up at games. The chaperone needs to create a free USAU account, complete a background check, and complete SafeSport online training in order to become a chaperone. Instructions for becoming a chaperone are here: https://www.usaultimate.org/chaperones/. Creating a usau account and completing the SafeSport training are free, but the background check does cost money. We can pay for your background check from the team budget. Just let me know once you have done it so I know.
We have been asked to provide 2 volunteers from each team for each tournament we participate in. Volunteers for things like setup, teardown, manning frisbee central, water duty, etc. We need your help to make tournaments successful! Here is a link to the volunteer signup sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1e_Hce042QdewuWgdfQYj826p0r6prmGv7P1nh7k8f24/edit#gid=2145005193
There is a tournament in Logan on April 27. I will probably not be able to make it, so we will need a chaperone in order for me to put in a bid for this tournament. Parents, please let me know if you can help drive and/or you can help chaperone ASAP so I can put in a bid before it fills up (if it's not too late already).
