Friday - Saturday Utah State Mixed Tournament at SL County Equestrian Park, 11400 S 2100 W in South Jordan. We will have an A & B team. I have not received details, schedule, etc yet. I will send out tournament details as soon as I have them.
Traditionally we have a team dinner the night before states to get some carbs. So we will do that Thursday at the Park Village Park Pavilion at 5pm. Bring your favorite pasta or other carb dish, salad or dessert. Come get some food, hang with the team, and get in some throws before states on Fri-Sat. Middle school players, parents and families invited!
Saturday is the last day for the fall 3000 challenge. Get your throws in this week and get them in the spreadsheet.
Check out some video and get psyched for state!
❗❗❗Please fill out the Winter Questionnaire here ❗❗❗ It will help the team determine what day of the week we should play during the winter. Only 5 simple questions. Thanks to those of you who have filled it out already.
Utah Ultimate is looking to send a U16 team to the national tournament in 2017 Aug 4-7 in Minnesota. This is still all in the early planning stage, but I want everyone to be able to have it on your calendar. There will be tryouts early in June and regular practices through the summer. U16 is under-16. Players who are 15 or younger as of June 1, 2017 are eligible to participate.
UUDA is holding its annual community meeting on December 8: https://utahultimate.org/uudas-annual-community-meeting-december-8th/ Plans for 2017 Utah ultimate events, especially youth (high school and middle school) events will be discussed at this meeting. Some 2017 event dates will be announced. Other dates will be open for discussion. I am planning to be there. Coaches, I encourage you to attend. Parents who are interested in becoming more involved in the ultimate community and having a say in youth ultimate in Utah, please put it on your calendar. There is great need for more adults who can devote some time to youth ultimate in Utah. It doesn't have to be a ton of time. I put in a lot of hours every week as a coach, but you don't have to invest that kind of time. There's need for assistant coaches and team managers and tournament volunteers and other things.
