Title: Death Rose

Date: 3/30/17

The subject of my image is the flower. The setting is in my room. This image was made by me setting up an old rose on my wall and taking a photo of it. I chose to create this specific image because I wanted to do something with a flower hanging on the wall. Composition rules of this photo are informal balance, rule of thirds, and angle up. My project evolved by bringing it to photoshop, clone stamping out the tack that the rose was hanging on, clone stamping the tack holes out, and cropping it with a little light adjustment. The meaning behind this image is to show the life of a flower post death. If you hang a rose upside down, it will never die completely and I was trying to go off that for a story but I could not think of one really. But what I did get out of was you have this flower, not quite dead, but not alive and healthy. People in this world are like that and that is the metaphor I am trying to show here.

Title: Don't see it all

Some things I could say that are different from the other photos are composition rules and why I wanted to create this image. So composition rules of this photo are angle up, rule of thirds, and partly high key lighting. I wanted to create this image because I wanted to do a photo with just the rose and a little part of the stem but pretty much none.

Title: Inside Beauty

I also did this photo because I wanted to get the middle of the rose so the details could be shown. Selective focus is highly shown in this. I think this is my favorite one out of the three on here but I didn't think it really represented the project so that is why it's last on my page.
