Inspired FIlm
The subject of my image is my dog, and the setting is in my living room. This image was taken on my film camera, processed in the darkroom, then I took a pic of it to post on here. I created this specific image because I thought it was close to what Nick Brandt, the photographer I chose, was doing with his images.
Some composition rules of this image is formal balance and high key lighting. Formal balance is because the dogs face is centered and the high key lighting is because the black and white aspect of it is bright. My project didn't evolve at all, I just took the image, processed it, and it was done.
The meaning behind this image is to show the passion the dog has towards what i'm holding in my hand by the camera, he is very passionate about the dog bone I held and he really wanted it, so he acted respectful towards me, sat down, and waited until I gave it to him. This project relates to my life because this is my best friend, he's loyal, listens to me, and is just in general a great animal to be around. If I could change one thing about this image, it would be to have the top of the picture a bit darker, because i'm not a big fan of how bright the lighting is.
