The subject of my image is the ice that was formed, the setting is in a bus. The image was made by me getting below the window and taking the photo. I chose to create this specific image because I saw the ice formed on the window and I wanted to capture it because a lot of the time you don't see ice form like this. Composition rules of this photo are informal balance and selective focus. Informal balance plays in because the image is not centered and selective focus because the only thing that is focused is the bottom of the tree. My project evolved by bringing it to photoshop, messing with the lighting, and then turning it black and white. The meaning behind this image is to show how something grows, in all different ways, shapes, and directions. The story is that you have this natural form and it is shaped as a tree kind of how I see it and it grows all different ways like people do as they become young adults. This connects to my life because I am a young adult and the people around me are young adults, we're all moving at different paces and growing different ways, becoming new people. If I could change one thing about this image it would be where the bottom of the ice "tree" starts.
