Independent

The subject of my image is Hannah Morris. The setting is in Mrs. Medskers' room. This image was made by me going around trying to figure out a theme for my independent role. I saw Hannah sitting there and I thought it was a great picture so she posed for it. I chose to create this image because, it was Hannah's idea. She sat there and made a funny face and I said oh why not take a picture of her. I ended up taking like 4 photos of her with funny faces.

Composition rules of this photo would be informal balance and rule of thirds. Informal balance plays in because her face is not centered. Rule of thirds plays in because she is in 2/3 of the photo and the rest is blank space. My project evolved because I originally started with another photo and enlarged it but then it got ruined when it dried so I had to make another one and I chose this one instead because I thought it had more of a value scale to it.

The meaning of this image is that I didn't know what to take pictures of so I chose Hannah to be my subject. The story is that this shows that Hannah can be herself around me and she can be silly and we can laugh. This shows that we are close enough friends to make this image exciting and bubbly and fun. It states how one can be herself in a situation of bordam and that she doesn't need anyone to make her silly; that she can do it on her own. If I could change one thing about this image it would be the scratches on it because it takes away from the subject of the photo.
