Film Developer Spill

This photo was for the project "Altered image." It was made by me taking a photo I had already, Exposing it for 4 seconds, pouring developer over the spot I wanted it to develop, and then putting it through the rest of the process. One thing I like about this photo is how the developer spread. I like the splatter parts most. Composition rules of this photo are formal balance and low key lighting. Formal balance is because the subjects are in the middle of the photo and low key lighting is because the photo is darker than normal. The story behind this image is to show ways that a photo can be shown other than just being printed out normal. The developer is over their bodies because that's all I wanted to show in this photo. This relates to my life because I'm not just another person in the world. I am unique and I like to show it and I don't care what anyone else thinks of it because i'm me and no one is gonna change that. One thing I would change about this photo is how evenly the developer, developed because it is dark where I don't really want it to be, but otherwise it is good.
