Capturing Compositions

The subject of my image is to show these men, soldiers, backing each other up. I tried to create a story with setting up these guys, in showing how much work they do to protect our country. The image was made by taking little soldier stick figure toys, going outside with them, in the light of the day for good lighting, and to tell a story. That's all that was used for this image. I chose to create this specific image because i my opinion, it tells a story. I believe it shows the soldiers, tired, overworked, but still doing their duty for this country. It shows them, protecting our ground, and each other.

The composition rules, I believe are used in this photo are high key lighting, repetition/ grouping and sharp focus. The reason I think it has high key lighting is because of the sunshine in the back of the photo, you can even see the soldiers shadow it's so bright. Repetition/grouping are already very noticeable in this image, because there is multiple soldiers, some what, close to one another. My project "evolved" in no way really. The only difference is the size of the image because I cropped it smaller to make it fit on this page.

As stated in the first paragraph, the meaning of this image is to show how much soldier work to fight for this country, and what they would do for us and each other. Like the repetition/grouping, in this image, is to show that the soldiers are willing to not only protect our country, but also each other. This project relates to my life in a metaphorical way. It's me, all by myself, protecting something I love, but then I have my friends or family behind me that I also protect, and care for. They do the same to me. A way that I could edit or revise this image is to take out the shadows of the soldiers, because for some reason that really catches my eye and bothers me.
