Title: Zoom on the shoe
Date: 11/14/17
Artist statement:
For this project we had to draw 3 views of a shoe. From there, we had to pick a part on one of the shoe drawings, zoom in on it and then once that's done, take one of the zoom and crops and draw it on another piece of paper and then turn it abstract. For this last part of it, I did it wrong the first time and I drew it on the 3 zoom and crops project so that would be the drawing with the most detail. The other one that I did correctly, I decided to make it a bike and all the places it would go. For the bike, I colored it a color I had my bike when I was a young girl. I decided to make all the blank space left, I chose to make it places a bike could go, I narrowed that down to places in Maine because I have grown up in Maine all my life. As for the one that I did incorrectly, I chose the most spaced out part of that drawing that had the most detail from the shoe. I wanted to keep it noticeable to the shoe because my message was nature. All patterns are places you would see in nature or in your everyday fruit maybe. The story behind it is to show that your shoes go wherever you go, in nature. One thing I would change about each is in the Nature shoe, I would make it a little less messy; as for the bike one, I would change the amount of time I spent on it because I did not put much effort into it.
