Time Capsule

Our assignment was to create four pencil drawings to look back on later. The four tasks were: a self portrait drawn by looking in the mirror, your hand holding something, an interesting object, and a corner of your room. For all my drawings I used the same process. I first went in and sketched the outline or basic shaped of the object. Once I was happy with those lines I made them darker. Next I went back in to shade and blend.

The self-portrait you had to do. I chose to draw a pair of sunglasses because I thought the shapes were interesting. Also it was easy to hold and draw. Next for the interesting object I wanted to draw these basset hound salt and pepper shakers. I just think they're really cute and they'd be fun to draw. I don't normally draw animals or animal shapes so I thought it would be a good challenge. For the corner of my room I chose to sit on my bed and look at my bed frame. I was drawn to my shadow on the wall although it kept changing.
