WhatchamaDRAWit

For this project the goal was to take a prompt and create a piece around the prompt. My prompt was "a pirate pig and royal shrimp on a seesaw". I drew the pig with a pirate hat and a eye-patch on the left. I drew the pig sitting down, as I thought I would play with the idea of the seesaw breaking (although I didn't end up doing this). I then drew the shrimp to the right. I decided to draw it out of proportion because otherwise it would be so small and the drawing would be imbalanced. I then drew a very simply seesaw underneath the two animals.

I decided to use watercolor because 1) I wanted to use color and 2) I knew it would go fast. I don't normally use color in my drawings or if I do it's only select color, so it was a challenge for me to use color. I use a fine point pen to trace my lines to make the shapes pop. I colored the background a simple green grass/shrubs with colorful flowers to add color.

In conclusion, I'm not 100% happy with this project. It's very different from what I normally do, so I'm not really used to it. There's a lot of color and not much deeper meaning.
