Beautiful Oops

The goal of this project was to take an "oops" (ink splattered on watercolor paper) and turn it into something beautiful. Originally, I was really uninspired. I then took a pair of scissors and but my page to see if I could find inspiration there. It turned out to be a four-sided shape, in some ways resembling a trapezoid. Next I used fine point colored markers and created a border with the blue and green markers. I then created mandalas around the oops. I used a black marker here because I wanted the oops to blend in with the rest of the piece. Next I added orange triangles around the mandalas to create contrast between the flowy mandalas and the geometric triangles. I then designed the border, using a light pink marker I did a flower petal design. Overall I am happy with the way this piece turned out. It's a little abstract for me but I think it works!
