3-D design was the hardest class that I have ever taken. It pushed me to do things that I had never done before. I learned a lot from this experience about texture and composition.

The hardest projects were the bust to project and the look inside project. I struggled to find inspiration in both of these projects. I also struggled at other times to find inspiration for my work. I definitely think that since foundations of art (freshmen year) my ideas have developed to be more personal to me. A lot of my projects I connect to my experiences as a woman. My favorite project this year was the hands project. I tried really hard and that project to make every little detail relate to my topic. I think 3-D was hard because I hadn't done it before but also because I had to stop thinking in the two dimensional mindset. I would come up with ideas but they wouldn't be good three-dimensional or wouldn't be the same three-dimensional. I was forced to use texture and the way that I have never had to before. Especially you can see it in my last project with the wings and also with my hands project which I have mentioned is my favorite project.

The first project which was the relief portrait I struggled with a lot but the end product was really well executed. I learned a little bit about making pieces that can be worn as seen in my wearable project and my last project which was the concentration series. Those projects were really fun because I could try them on and see how it could come to life.

I learned that 3D design projects take more time than 2-D projects. For 2-D projects I would be able to not go in with a set plan and have the results be on OK but with 3-D I spend a lot of time planning my projects although I failed to do that and some of them and I think that you can tell. My ideas of all that a lot in 3-D because I was constantly having to make changes because I was either falling behind or because things didn't look the way I wanted them to. 3-D design taught me a lot about time management and patience as seen in my past projects which didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I think part of the reason my bust turned out the way I did was because I never made a bust before so for most of the project I was learning how to create a bus to not really focused on the features which was a problem. This project was a really good learning experience for me.One of the projects I struggled with the lot was looking inside project and I think that's because I fell behind and because I didn't have a set plan of what I was doing. I didn't make a lot of that project; I kind of just pieced the pieces together which was a problem and it didn't allow me to really show my creativity and my strengths as an artist.

Well I don't think I will pursue a career in 3-D design or ceramics I think that this was a great learning experience for me. It taught me a lot about shape and form and texture and composition it was really great. It pushed me as an artist to think outside the box and thinking 3-D is now easier for me than it was at the beginning...I don't know what it's going to be like to go back to creating 2-D pieces.
