Shoescape

The assignment was to draw a pair of shoes in pure contour and a background important to you. I chose my composition out of four that I had sketched in my sketchbook. I lightly drew the outline of the sneakers and then worked in the details, such as the pattern on the shoe and the shoe laces. After being happy with the outline I went back in and darkened the lines, varying the line weight. Dark lines represented thick and important lines of the shoe. For the background I chose to use the window of an airplane because I love to travel. I decided to color the view looking out of the window. It is a dark night sky. That's one my favorite times to fly. I drew my sneakers because I love to run and be busy.
