1. You will first need to get:
A. A Certification of license history received directly from the Reciprocal State (For us Typically MA). The license history must confirm your license was issued by examination. Cost $15 to the State of Massachusetts. This could take 10 days or so. Skip to step c if you are only licensed in MA.
B. Certification of license history received directly from all other states in which you were ever issued a real estate license.
C. Click Here for an outline on how to obtain your License History from MA. Please note the state of MA calls it a Verification / Licensee History Request Form. Sit back and wait. There is no need to read on until you get your license history form.
2. Go to the State of CT Reciprocal Online Application website (by Clicking Here).
A. If you DO NOT have an existing account, click “Register” in the top right corner of the screen. To access the online application, click “ New Application ” under Activities. Please note, the name under which you register will be the name that appears on your license.
NOTE: Please make sure to associate yourself with REAL BROKER CT LLC (REB.0792171)
B. Please note that during the online application process you will be asked to Fill Out this Salesperson Sponsoring Broker Form and upload it. Cost $335.00
C. You will receive an email from the state with your license number within a couple days. The physical paper license will soon follow!
1. Join the CTMLS:
a. You can Click Here for the required form. Print it out and fill it in and make sure to add a date to the brokers signature. Cost: $27/mo
b. Then call RAPV and ask for a letter of good standing (different from MA verification)
c. Scan both documents and email them to membership@smartmls.com
2. Join GHAR as secondary Realtor Board
a. Application can be found HERE
b. GHAR can be your secondary board if you belong to the RAPV . You would elect for a JR membership just keep in mind that is you choose a JR membership with GHAR you will not have access to Ct Realtor - the State board ( which is like MAR in Massachusetts)
3. CT uses electronic Lockboxes:
a. In order to get one and start using it you need to do the following:
i. Fill out page 6 of THIS document
ii. Complete THIS credit card authorization form
iii. Scan both documents as well as the letter of good standing (same one from step 1) and email them to ghar@gharonline.com
iv. You will need to download the Supra eKey from your app store and input the 16 digit number to gain access to the eKey. The number will be emailed to you within a business day of emailing Ghar @ GHAR with the 3 forms needed.
