Why Are Gas Prices So High?
By: Arianna Farabaugh
After a very confusing couple years, prices of U.S. gas were slowly lowering from peaks that were reached in June. These prices got that high because of the high demand and also because of the global refining supply. The average prices are beginning to rise again in some regions.
Even though 60% of the U.S. states saw the gas prices fall for weeks on weeks, the national gas prices were increased by almost 7 cents per gallon. This all happened in the same time period. This data came from the AAA also known as the American Automotive Association. But now the gas prices have raised about 16 cents per gallon. This rise of the gas prices is leaving a lot of people not too happy. The reason people are not too happy is because families all over the world already have to pay so much money to be able to put food on their table to feed their kids and even their pets. Now people all around the world are paying close to $100 dollars to be able to get to work and back to make the money to pay for everything they get. That is why most people are really mad at the rise of gas prices and the rise of food prices.
