Hocus Pocus Review

This year on September 30, 2022, Disney Plus came out with the second Hocus Pocus after 29 years. I will be writing a review about this new movie.

What is the original Hocus Pocus:

Hocus Pocus is a Halloween movie about how a group of kids, Max, Dani, and Allison go to the Sanderson sisters’ house as a joke, but eventually end up lighting the black flame and awakening the sisters. Soon the kids are trying to save the town by stopping the Sanderson sisters and saving the parents. The kids eventually do and end up saving their friend, Thackeray Binx, and stopping the Sanderson sisters for now.

Hocus Pocus 2: My Review

After watching Hocus Pocus 2, I think overall it was a very good movie, and I liked the storyline and the ending. However, I believe that the original was slightly better, because with the original, the second one had a lot to live up to, and I thought it slightly fell short. I thought that Hocus Pocus 2 was still a great addition to the first one. I think the directors did well with continuing the storyline of the Sanderson sisters. I really like how they waited until years after to make a new one so we could see how different the characters looked overtime and how they changed. So, in my opinion, I liked Hocus Pocus and I would recommend it to anyone that isn't into more scary movies but enjoys more comedy-based movies and of course the Halloween season. If they make a third Hocus Pocus I will definitely be watching.
