Dog is a movie where Jackson Briggs, an army ranger, gets challenged with the task to take Lulu, the military dog, to her owner’s funeral. Throughout the journey he faces many challenges with the dog. The dog runs away, injures a guy, and tears up his seat in his car. As their long journey goes on the dog starts to trust Briggs more and more. The two become more connected throughout the journey. At first, Lulu wouldn’t eat food out of Briggs hand but in the end she does. In the end the two become inseparable. As he goes to take the dog back what will happen will Briggs keep the dog or will they put the dog down?

The directors of this new movie are Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin. So far they have made $85 million dollars for it. In the movie, the director wants to get the message across that when you love someone you will do anything for them. I think the writer wants the audience to realize that you may have to go through some challenges but in the end it will be worth it. In the movie, Briggs goes through challenges with Lulu but he makes it to the funeral. The style of the movie is comedy, adventure, road, comedy drama, and family film.

Other popular movies that Reid Carolin has directed include: Magic Mike which Channing Tatum played in as the main character Mike and White House Down. Well you may wonder how they even got the inspiration to create this movie. According to screenrant.com, Channing Tatum said that his new film, Dog, was inspired by the last road trip he took with his dying dog, Lulu. This movie also gave Tatum a chance to step back into acting after he took a few years off.

I think this was a really cute movie and throughout the movie I caught myself saying “aw” a few times. For me it was a little sad at some parts but at others really funny. I love how Briggs and Lulu make progress throughout the movie. Their relationship starts out bad but it progressively gets better to the point Briggs starts talking to the dog and the dog starts caring for him which we see when Tatum falls over and the dog comes to check up on him. He also starts showing him love which we also see when he falls and the dog comes up and lays on him.

In my opinion, this movie is a 10/10. On Google, it is rated a 4.2/5 which is really good considering it’s a newer movie. I think that you should take the hour and forty one minutes and watch it. Even though the movie is funny at some parts there is a bigger meaning behind it than you think but you would have to watch it to understand what I’m talking about.
