Racing ATVs
Before people race their ATVs, they have to sign up and pay for them to get in and race. Most of the time the people who run the race divide the older kids and younger kids and they also have to divide people who are racing dirt bikes and quads. Before you even think about racing, you are going to need the right gear and the right kind of dirt bike/quad, otherwise, you can’t race your dirt bike/quad. I have been trying to convince my mom to let me race my dirt bike, but I think she won't let me race because I don't have the gear and it costs money. When you need to practice you have to go to a track with your dirt bike/quad and load it up in a trailer/bed of a truck. When you get to the track, you are going to have to pay to practice and you will need a practice bike and a racing dirt bike.
If you are racing a dirt bike, you will need to work out and lift weights. You don’t have to, but I would recommend it just so that you would have more control over the dirt bike and you would have less chance of wrecking. If you do want to race, I suggest you get a motocross dirt bike because they are made for racing and doing stunts. If you have a practicing dirt bike, I suggest you use that when you are practicing because if you were to break something on your racing bike, you probably couldn’t race depending on the bike's condition. If you are running a quad, you would need gear and goggles; the lighter you are the faster you’ll go, but the bigger you are the slower you will go depending on how big of a dirt bike/quad you have.
Before you get ready to race, you might want to stretch and get your muscles loosened up because if it is your first time racing, when you get off your dirt bike, you will be sore and will barely be able to walk. Just a little tip when you get off of your dirt bike: you might want to have someone help you walk because you WILL fall if no one does. For quads is a different story, but your back will hurt your first time racing if you don’t keep your back straight, depending on if you are doing a dirt track race or if you are drag racing.
