The Colors of NCSD

I conducted a survey asking the students and teachers of Northern Cambria High School what their favorite colors were. Out of those results 37.9% said blue, 10.3% said green, red, or purple, 13.8% said black, 6.9% said orange or yellow, and 3.4% said pink. From this, we can infer that blue is the most popular color amongst NCHS students, beating green, red, and purple by eight people. The most disliked color is pink with only one vote.

I also asked students and teachers why they liked their chosen color. Most people gave simple answers such as because they just like the look of it. Despite this, there were some responses with much more reasoning. Green was commonly compared with nature and security, while blue was often picked based on the variety in shades and tone that the color comes with. Based on this, we can conclude that blue, followed by green, red, and purple, is the most popular color because of its variety and the fact it is viewed as a non threatening color which can also induce calmness or serenity.
