Interview with Ms. Mastrine

I interviewed one of my favorite teachers recently to see why she chose to be a teacher, what's her favorite part about teaching, why she choose to be a Science teacher, and much more!
Q: What is your favorite part about teaching?
A: “My favorite part of teaching is interacting with and getting to know the students as they grow and mature each year.”
Q: Who or what inspired you to become a teacher?
A: “I was fortunate to have some amazing teachers in school as I was growing up....too many to list. They have each had a hand in inspiring me to want to be a teacher.”
Q: What teachers do you talk to the most?
A: “Mr. Taranto, Mrs. Kline, and Mrs. Paronish”
Q: Why did you choose to be a Science teacher?
A: “I fell in love with the science subjects in high school because I had great teachers who were excited about what they taught, and that love extended into my college years. Now I get to share my "geekiness" with all of you.”
Q: What would your second career choice be?
A: “Something in the medical field, I'm not sure exactly what.”
Q: What was your favorite part about working with Mr. O’Hara?
A: “The energy, enthusiasm, and new ideas he brought to the classroom.”
Interview with Mr. McKee

We Interviewed the newest teacher and member to our Colt community to see why he chose to come to Northern Cambria, where he previously taught, why he became an English teacher, what his favorite part of teaching is, and how his first day here was.
Q: Why did you come to Northern Cambria?
A: I came to Northern Cambria because I was looking for a new opportunity. I had heard great things about Northern Cambria, so I applied for the position, and thankfully it worked out.
Q: Why did you become an English teacher?
A: I wanted to become a teacher because I wanted to have a positive impact on peoples’ lives. I chose English because I have always enjoyed reading, and I thought it would be fun to get to do that on a daily basis.
Q: Where have you previously taught?
A: I have previously taught at Greater Johnstown, Chestnut Ridge, and Williamsburg.
Q: What's your favorite part about teaching?
A: I enjoy being in the classroom and working with the students.
Q:How was your first day at Northern Cambria
A:My first day went well. Everyone was very helpful. I am excited to get to know everyone and become a Colt.
