Squiz Interview by Rebecca Krug
I interviewed my sister, Hannah Krug, about the Scholastic Squiz Team. Here is the interview:
Q: How long have you been in Squiz?
"This is my second year being in Squiz."
Q: Which team are you on?
"I’m on the Junior Varsity team."
Q: Who are the members of the Junior Varsity team?
"The members of my team, not including myself, are: Maddie Doughty, Taylee Pala, AG Moore, Madison Stafford, and Logan Keith."
Q: Who are the members of the Varsity team?
"The members of the Varsity team are: Mason Davis, Teagan Pala, Ethan Jacobs, Danielle Hendrick, Caden McConnell, and Jacob Frantz."
Q: How many meets have you gone to?
"I’ve gone to all the meets where we’ve had JV games, and there have been about 6 or 7."
Q: How many have you won?
"We’ve won all but one!"
Q: How many have the Varsity team won?
'The Varsity team has lost about 2 or 3 games."
Q: Is there anything else you would like to tell me about Squiz?
"Squiz is a lot of fun, although it may not seem like it. It’s a great way to make new friends if you don’t talk to many people. "
Interview with Aiden Rezk and Arianna Farabaugh

On September 7 and 9, 2022, I interviewed two of our very own Emanon staff members who are two of my close friends to learn more about them. Arianna is a pretty, kind, and caring girl. Aiden is a funny, sweet, and outgoing boy. They both are very smart and hard working people which is why I’m so excited to have them in Journalism with me!
Q: What is your favorite part of freshman year so far?
Aiden - “Lunch”
Arianna - “Probably getting to see new teachers because in middle school you see the same teachers everyday, and like the different classes because in middle school we didn’t have Spanish.”
Q: What is your favorite part of Journalism?
Aiden - “Doing articles”
Arianna - “Probably being able to design the staff pages and being able to write about whatever you want because she doesn’t assign an exact topic.”
Q: How would you describe yourself?
Aiden - “Hardworking and funny.”
Arianna - “In school, hardworking 'cause I like to get my work done fast. Outside of school funny.”
Q: What is your favorite sport and why?
Aiden - “Football because I like being outdoors and hanging out with my friends.”
Arianna - “Football because that’s the one sport I know about because I played it.”
Q: Who is your favorite singer/rapper?
Aiden - “Taylor Swift”
Arianna - “Probably Rod Wave, he’s a really good singer.”
Q: What is your biggest fear?
Aiden - “The deep deep sea.”
Arianna - “I’m so scared of heights, but it would probably be spiders.”
Life at the Library

I interviewed Ava Dobransky about how she volunteers at the library. Here is how it went:
Q:How do you like volunteering at the Library?
“It is fun most of the time, but sometimes it can be boring.”
Q:How long do you volunteer for?
“Every Tuesday for 3 hours”
Q:What do you do there?
-”put away books and organize them”
-”make tik toks for the tik tok page @northerncambrialibrary”
-”help with story hours which include doing crafts with the kids. I also dance and
play with them.”
Q:Do you volunteer with anyone you know? If so, who?
“Yes, my neighbor Karen works there. Also Alivia Yahner and Makayla
Stevenson volunteer with me there too.”
Q:Have you met any new people?
“No, not really”
Q:What is the most interesting thing that has happened while you were there?
“A kid swore one time while doing crafts at story hour.”
I interviewed my friend from a different school to see what it's like over there and what he wants to do after he graduates.

Q- What would you consider to be your greatest achievement as a student?
A-"Being good at football (soccer). I have like 30 awards since I've been playing for 12 years."
Q- When and how do you get to school?
A-"7 am, sometimes all depends on when I have classes and I walk to school."
Q- When you get to school what is the first thing you do?
A-"First I sign in on the iPad and then that's it really."
Q- When you go for lunch, do you go to the cafeteria or do you go somewhere else?
A-"I'm actually able to go home and eat my lunch there, then I'll go back."
Q- What time do you normally get out?
A-"I get out of school at different times all depends on which classes I have that day."
Q- When you graduate what do you want to do?
A-"I don't know properly yet."

I interviewed Mya Bradford (the editor-in-chief) to see what's going on in her life as a sophomore.
Q- What do you like about your sophomore year so far?
A- "I like the teachers and my baking and pastry class."
Q- What is your favorite part about journalism this year?
A- "Being able to hangout with my friends and always having a good time."
Q- Would you recommend this class to other students and if so why?
A- "Yes, because it is a fun class and it is pretty laid back as long as you get your article done for the week."
Q- What are you looking forward to this year?
A- "Homecoming and making new memories with my friends."
Q- What are your goals for this year?
A- "Getting good grades and getting student of the month."
