Interview with Maddie Hassen

I interviewed senior Maddie Hassen about her volleyball career. I asked her 4 questions. The first question was her favorite memory about playing volleyball. She replied with “ Going to states as a freshman.” Her goal for this season is,“ To have fun and even go to play in the Heritage Championship.” I asked her what her favorite part about volleyball was and she said, “ Being able to do it with my best friends, there is nothing I love more than celebrating a point with my girls.” Her advice to the underclassmen, “Is to work hard and have fun because it goes by very fast.”

Volleyball 2022

I am going to be talking about volleyball and how NCVB is doing and what has happened so far this year. First I am going to give a list of the seniors that are playing this year. They are Madison Hassen, Morgan Hassen, Laci Lanzendorfer, and Alivia McCracken. Tuesday October 18, 2022 is senior night. Please come and cheer our team and most importantly our seniors as we play Penns Manor.

Our score so far is 5 wins and 7 losses. The most important game that we played was against Cambria Heights. We played them twice. In the first game we played against them we took them to 5 sets and we were really close but lost. In the second game we went to 3 sets and won! It was an amazing victory for the team and we were proud of each other for making a comeback and winning.

Our win helped us a lot. We have made it into the Heritage and we are all so excited to go. We played River Valley recently and lost but it didn’t move our spot at all in the Heritage. Right now we sit second in our division. If we go to Heritage, we would play West Shamokin first, and I think we would have a good chance of winning against them. I hope to see you on senior night and all the next games to come!!
