Real Life Exepriences at

Little Green Junior School

We are delighted to be taking Year 5 children to the British Museum to support their Egyptian learning theme on Friday, and Year 6 are off to the Tate Modern to support their Modern Art projects next week. Croxley is lucky to have tube links to world's famous (and free!) museums on our doorstep. This also makes trips affordable for all.

Year 3 have booked the popular and very successful Hazard Alley and Go Ape - details to come.

Year 4 have the incredible Sailing week to look forward to, once things warm up!

As a school we promote hands-on real-life purposeful learning as a positive way of inspiring and engaging young minds to be even more curious. Thank you to all the parents able to support us with these experiences.

Little Green Social Media - Instagram

Sign up to our Instagram page for live updates, videos and snapshots of the school day. This week Mrs Langton and Ms Muckell launch their Podcast 'Classroom Chatter'. Have a listen and share your ideas. One more lovely example is a recording of the choir singing. If you visit Instagram, you will find a growing number of posts to help you see the incredible learning  going on at Little Green Junior School!

Connected Curriculum - Year 5

What helps a child to remember learning? (What we know at Little Green)

Year 5 completed their Chocolate theme, fulfilling all of the above intentions and promoting fantastic engagement with the learning.  The chocolate topic included , to name just a few:

A real Wow moment and, therefore, a real memorable moment for our children. We are also trialling a measure of memory over the coming months and beyond and we do believe that this approach is the most likely to make our learning memorable and something to build upon.

Stationery sets

Save yourself the summer stationery shopping stress and buy now!  Sourced by Mr Flint so all of the equipment in the packs is school approved!

The flash sale price has unfortunately finished so packs will now be priced at a very competitive £10 (still far cheaper than you can source on the high street!) and can be ordered via: www.pta-events.co.uk/folg. The pack contains 2 writing pens, a green pen, 2 HB pencils, a pair of scissors (you can specify right or left handed), Pritt Stick, eraser, Boogie sharpener, 30 cm ruler, whiteboard pen, highlighter all contained in a clear pencil case. These can then be sent straight to your child's classroom or be held at the school office for you to pick up.

Second hand uniform

Good quality second hand uniform can be ordered from Faye via  folg-uniform@littlegreen.herts.sch.uk - most items are just 50p. Send an email outlining the items you wish to order - remember to include sizes and your child's class - you will then receive an email to let you know when your items are ready to collect from the school office.
