Celebrating our Staff:

So far, our success series has focused on our amazing attainment outcomes and the innovative and exciting curriculum developments we have  developed to ensure we maintain our love of learning, engagement and subsequent attainment successes.

These next two weeks focus on two critical elements to our success: This week, the staff; next week, the community.

Please do celebrate our successes and share the positives of our school.

There are so many strengths to what we do and, to keep being successful, we need to make sure everyone knows what an amazing Learning Community we all are!

Take a look at the ongoing conversations around Parents' Evening to see how we listen and develop systems to ensure everyone is a part of the process and is left equally positive.

We are very proud of our teaching team's NPQ (masters level) learning leading to even greater impact at Little Green:

Our Senior Leaders continue to implement the learning from their own NPQs - results pending. And we are excited that Ms Brauka has joined the party!

All of our staff are engaged in Professional Development in some form or another, from Mr Whitelaw developing his role as Mental Health First Aider, to Mrs MacKintosh driving SACRE (RE) in the school and across the county as part of the County SACRE Council. We are committed to getting better so we are doing the best we can for the community!

Watford Partnership Leaders:

We are also proud to be founding leaders of the Watford Partnership Primary Group. The Watford Partnership is a group of twelve local secondary and 6 local primary schools all working together to develop new and current teachers. We had the pleasure of hosting ten Early Careers Teachers this month to support them in sharing good practice and learning about effective research informed behaviour management approaches including trauma informed practice. Have a look at the website for more information. Take a look at the schools we work with to see the quality of support we are a part of!

FOLG trialled a Pig Racing night on Saturday and... it was BRILLIANT! Who knew watching videos of piglets with paper jockeys on their backs could be so entertaining? As a trial, it was a small turn out but we, incredibly, raised £400+ pounds!!

Thank you to everyone who took a risk with Pig Racing . Please spread the word about just how much fun this was AND look out for future race nights in the coming months. A huge thank you to all the FOLG team for their ongoing time and commitment to making the event such a brilliant success. Special mention to Mr Hutchinson for his fantastic Master of Ceremony work - a true professional!

World kindness day

Stationery sets

Save yourself the summer stationery shopping stress and buy now!  Sourced by Mr Flint so all of the equipment in the packs is school approved!

The flash sale price has unfortunately finished so packs will now be priced at a very competitive £10 (still far cheaper than you can source on the high street!) and can be ordered via: www.pta-events.co.uk/folg. The pack contains 2 writing pens, a green pen, 2 HB pencils, a pair of scissors (you can specify right or left handed), Pritt Stick, eraser, Boogie sharpener, 30 cm ruler, whiteboard pen, highlighter all contained in a clear pencil case. These can then be sent straight to your child's classroom or be held at the school office for you to pick up.

Second hand uniform

Good quality second hand uniform can be ordered from Faye via  folg-uniform@littlegreen.herts.sch.uk - most items are just 50p. Send an email outlining the items you wish to order - remember to include sizes and your child's class - you will then receive an email to let you know when your items are ready to collect from the school office.
