Before watching any of the videos, have the children make a table in their Learning Journals labelled Push, Pull. Then give them 5 minutes to write/draw as many toys as they can that match the 'Force' description to be able to be played with.
As a class, watch any of the videos you deem suitable.
Have a look at the posters. You may wish to explore (Hands-on) a toy.
Traditional push wagon/ wooden baby walker
Look at examples of different types of toys that operate by ‘pushing’ action
Discuss how these toys are 'Static', that is unless someone is pushing them, they do not really do much on their own. Compare to 'Dynamic' toys, that once they are engaged will do actions/make no1se/travel.
(Cars, trains, paper planes, marbles, throwing a ball, toy lawn mower)
Children can then complete any of the sorting tasks.
