Today we talked about our characters personality and the different ways that we can show this with our voice. Here is the list of characteristics we spoke about today. When you are reading your script have a go at trying different ways to show these:
Mole: A 'soft' although not quiet voice. Confident with a gentle quality
Ratty: A bright, clear voice. Needs to have LOTS of confidence and cheerfulness
Toad: A confident speaker, capable of being expressive both with emotions and actions.
Badger: A mature quality. Perhaps a deep voice, able to convey a sense of authority
Narrator: A good storyteller. Able to keep the audiences attention with LOTS of expression.
Please Note: I'm working on the song for you. Lets hold off on that and I will show you next week. - Mrs. Fox
Here is another performance of our Production. You might like to have a look to get another idea about how your character might sound/ look/ act.
Today, we continued to read through our scripts. Focusing on expression as we read. I was impressed to hear you bringing in the character traits that we talked about last week when reading.
