Week 2
Sing the 'Hello, my name is Tim' song with your family
Practise saying 'Hello, my name is (your name) ' in Mandarin-- 你(nǐ)好(hǎo),我(wǒ)叫(jiào) 。
Watch the episode 'Learn how to do basic greetings in Mandarin from Finding Nemo' and discuss with your parent about the difference between 'Hello, I am ....' and 'Hello, my name is ...' in Mandarin

Week 3
Listen to the song 'How old are you?'
In Mandarin we say '你(nǐ)几(jǐ)岁(suì)?' to ask 'How old are you?' and '我(wǒ) ___ 岁(suì)。' to answer 'I am __ years old.' For example, if you are 5 years old, you would say 我(wǒ)五(wǔ)岁(suì) and if you are 6 years old, you would say 我(wǒ)六(liù)岁(suì)。
Use the 'Writing Chinese Numbers 2' slides to review the numbers 1-10 in Chinese and to practise saying your age.
Week 4
1. Watch a Peppa Pig Mandarin episode about Numbers by clicking the video below. While you are watching, count with Peppa and her friends

1. Listen to the 'How are you?' song a few times and sing along
2. Use the example document to practise 'ask and answer' with your family
