Sister was born in Alpe Nieder-Bayern, Germany on Apr. 3, 1880. She entered the Clyde convent on July 18, 1908 at the age of 28. Her investment took place on Feb. 10, 1909, her first profession on Feb. 19, 1910 and her perpetual vows on Feb. 14, 1917. She received consecration of virgins with the large group at Clyde on Nov. 16, 1952.
Sister was accustomed to hard work and generously applied her strength to many tasks. She was a good cook and for years had charge of the kitchen, enduring patiently the discomfort of laboring over a hot kitchen range, fueled with coal which she carried up the back steps by the bucketful from the nearby coal shed. Having had experience with the curing of meat before entering, she rendered valuable services at butchering time, when some twenty-four hogs and beef cattle were slaughtered annually. Her head cheese and sausages were relished by all, and were the best Christmas gift we could offer to our Kansas City benefactors.
Sister often told Mother M. Carmelita who was Superior at the time, "When I am gone, tell the Sisters to love God very much, and to show this love by sacrifice." It was evident that she experienced an intimacy with our Lord in prayer which gave her deep interior joy.
Sister died at the Clyde infirmary on June 18, 1968 at the age of eighty-eight. Her priest nephew, Father Frank Krische, who was very dear to her and who in turn loved and esteemed her highly, was one of the celebrants of her Requiem Mass.
