Mary McMahon was born in Illinois in 1866. We do not have the date of her entrance at Clyde, but she was invested on November 21, 1885, professed as Sister M. Flavia on December 15, 1886, and made perpetual vows on February 24, 1893.
Sister was one of the very early pioneers of our Congregation, and as such no doubt knew poverty and hard physical labor. We have no record of her life, but some of the older Sisters have spoken of her as a very prayerful, sacrificial person. She died at the age of twenty-nine, after only nine years of religious profession, on January 18, 1895.
We regret that there is no photo available of Sister M. Flavia McMahon.
