Born February 6, 1874, Sister M. Franziska professed as an Oblate on December 8, 1905. She spent most of her religious life at the orphanage, and was a real mother to the orphans. In her quiet, loving way she had a wonderful control over them.
Recalling her memory, one of the Sisters said: "I thought her a living saint. There was real honest-to-goodness holiness — one could sense it just by seeing her." Always delicate in health, Sister died rather suddenly on October 7, 1916 at the age of forty-two. She was deeply mourned by the orphans, who loved her dearly and were heartbroken at her loss.
We regret that there is no photo available of Sister M. Franzisca.
