Sister M. Helena was born in St. Gall, Switzerland in 1858. She entered our convent at Clyde on October 17, 1888, was invested February 10, 1889 and professed May 3, 1890. Perpetual vows were made on February 25, 1894.
One of the pioneer members of our Congregation, Sister died at the age of thirty-six, apparently a victim of tuberculosis as were a number of Sisters in those early days when foundations were laid amid many hardships and privations.
Her perpetual vows were made on the day before her death which occurred on February 26, 1894.
We regret we do not have a photo of Sister.
