Christina Odermatt was born at Unterwalden, Switzerland in 1866. She was one of the earliest pioneers of our congregation, having received the holy habit from the hands of Mother M. John on November 21, 1885. On December 15, 1886 she made profession of vows as Sister M. Bonaventure.
No particulars are preserved of Sister's life. She died at the age of twenty-one, just nine months after her profession, on September 30, 1887, from typhoid fever. She was the fifth member of the community to die.
