Two of the Teams on the Education Committee are preparing to become separate committees: (a) The Adaptations Teams (Spin-Offs) and (b) Liaison with Inside Facilitators Team; their requests will be presented to the Board in their own time frame.
Adaptations Team (which was originally the Spin-Offs Team/Group) is developing a booklet that will describe what Adaptations are and their relationship to AVP; compliments to Rita and Noelle for their co-clerk work with Adaptions Team.
Growth of Liaison with Inside Facilitators Team - primary goal to improve connections between inside and outside facilitators by strengthening the ties with prison coordinators; compliments to Grace for her leadership in this effort.
Core Values: We are delighted by the responses to the Core Values from facilitators worldwide. Now, we are considering ways to incorporate some of the valuable suggestions for changes.
Best Practices booklet: Is What You are Doing an AVP Workshop? is now being distributed for consultation from facilitators worldwide. It is available online at http://avp.international/best-practices-workshop-elements/. It is also available in pdf for download.
Education Committee & the Boston Gathering: We are planning a Pre-Conference workshop on “Diversity” and the Education/Communication Room/Lab and breakout presentations.
Education Committee is developing an article for submission to the Transformer.
