Post date: Sep 13, 2020 2:13:43 PM

During the month of September, AVP-USA Education Committee continued to work on completion of the following tasks:

Partnering with AVP-I Education in developing plans for the inclusion of an electronic library for online training, workshops, and materials;

Completing the formation of a new Team of writers and developing plans for the next editions of the USA Manuals and processes for feedback from facilitators. At this time, the Education Committee has seven active manual writers, representing four different states.

Collaborating with the Adaptations Committee in developing and revising the AVP-USA Community Facilitation Circles Model of AVP training approaches that differ from the AVP Core or Standard workshops. We are finalizing the wording of the model in full text explanation and as a summary portraying each type of workshop in the form of concentric circles. We also developed a “chronology” depicting the origin and development of the Facilitations Community Circles Model (See attachments below).

Some of our activities are ongoing, and thus the primary goal will be continuous improvement of such tasks, for example, sponsoring/supporting Community Circles processes:

Will continue to partner with AVP-International Education Committee to sponsor Community Circles that support facilitators worldwide in ongoing engagement in AVP workshops and related practices. Community circles are extending into supporting other facilitators to develop and focus on topics related to areas of concern to their respective local areas. For example, online workshop training processes via ZOOM has become the leading interest among facilitators.
